Some sweet mini games that have a significant reward, like Chocobo Racing in 7 or the card game in 8.

1.) Lag trumps rushing, camping is the only alternative for some. Can't tell you how many times a slight bit of lag makes rushing the same as suicide. 2.) You just going to bust into a room of enemy combatants and hope for the best, John Wayne style? There is no respawning in real life, sometimes and tactics dictate "camping" to win wars. Same applies for video games. 3.) Get better at a game if you are sick of campers, use grenades to clear a room or soften people up at least, I know that works well in Halo and CoD for starters.

[QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"][QUOTE="SemiMaster"][QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"] is it because i repeat myself (yes, i know this :P ) or am i missing something?

My almost exact same statement one post prior perhaps.

i must have forgotten that you were the first person ever to make such a statement. youre so clever.

Easy with your sharp internet defensive posturing killer, maybe sometimes people are agreeing with you.

Recently, Hunted the Demon's Forge. Other stinkers included Resonance of Fate, State of Emergency and Alien Syndrome. Oh and the Wii and almost every game I own for it.

[QUOTE="SemiMaster"][QUOTE="LoG-Sacrament"]photorealism is a very limiting goal. animation, lighting, clipping, weather effects, physics engines, water effects, AI, and all sorts of things need to be improved before we even begin to approach reality. theres a long way to go.LoG-Sacrament
Now that sounds familiar...

[QUOTE="smerlus"][QUOTE="UpInFlames"]

Volition released a 7-minute video of doing random stupid stuff. That's the selling point of this game. That's all I've ever seen Saints Row fans talk about. Is there something other to this game that is so great yet nobody is willing to mention (including the developer, publisher and their biggest fans)?

I couldn't bring myself to watch 7 minutes of this game to completion. There's no way I'd ever pay money for it for the off chance that I might be wrong. Because, usually, I am not. At best, it's a poor man's San Andreas with a bunch of random crap to do. Pass.

All i've seen GTA IV fans talk about are the graphics and the story....which has very little to do with actual GAMEPLAY. So sorry that fans of the SR series talk about a variety of things they can do in a game. They should be talking about how your stereotypical drugdealing jamaican friend calls you every 15 minutes and gets mad when you wont hang out with him...because everyone plays games for their below average hollywood movie stories. If you probably watched the whole 7 minutes with an unbias mind you would see that they improved graphics, improved physics, added more weapons, added more fighting styles, talked about co-op, added more vehicles...and we all know previews these days never mention anything new that the game offers or any improvements they've made :roll: might want to put down the haterade for a few moments then come back in the topic.

You realize your cogent well formulated yet slightly sarcastic response will fall on deaf ears/blind eyes because of those who think GTA4 is god's gift to them.

Been playing since '86, going on 25 years now. Yes, I've soloed RAAM on Insane, beat Megaman 2, stomped the crud out of every secret mega boss the Final Fantasy series throws at me, owned in Quake as 1v5, held off UT2k4 CTF maps in 2 on 8 before, beat Life Force and Contra without the konami code. I've seen my share of punishingly hard games and intense battles, but I'm not a fan of playing on the highest difficulty just "because". In terms of genres, RPGs (W,J, or MMO) I'm epic, FPS games pretty good to amazing, most other genres just "pretty good". Lately my K/D ratio in black ops has gone up to 1.45 and I'm the MVP about 8% of the time (if you excluded my first two prestiges, I'd probably be more like 2+ and 15 to 20% of the time and something like 1/3 of the time in the top 3 of all players in a given game, but I hate how lag dictates a lot of success in competitve online games). Basically I'd rather play coop than not, as hard as you want to make it (clutch healing/support in mmo's on raids or other tense spots is my specialty).

Related to the GTA 4 driving, let me just add my two cents. Using a turismo (Ferarri) I have the hardest time keeping up with the game's version of a civic. The game's AI bangs a 90 degree turn at full speed and I can't seem to make a 15 degree turn without spinning out. The physics of GTA 4 is horrible and unbalanced.
