This is absolutely true. I put my life on the line to get domination points all the time and my KDR goes down. Wouldn't that be cool to keep KDR separate for each type of match you are playing? But KDR does matter a lot in TDM. Sure, who cares if you camp, but the fact of the matter is if you have a KDR over 1, you are netting some benefit for your team on average, and that's essentially what matters. If you are usually a 10/7 player, you aren't doing stellar, but if your whole team is ranging in that type of ratio, then you are doing pretty good, since a team of 6 only requires each player to have 12 to 13 kills each. And as long as the average KDR of your team is over 1, then you win.I do not really care about KDR in objective-based games. The win is most important for the team and I am a camper. I play the game as I would battle in real life.

Do the various gun attachments stack in terms of their bonuses. Like does a Reflex Sight also stack with a quickdraw handle or is it only one modifier per attachment. I really want to use my FMJ with a scope and quickdraw on my Type 25, but if it kills the accuracy, then there's no reason to not keep using the grip.
So does anyone know this?
By linear, FFXIII for instance was linear to the truest extent for the first 10 chapters because you literally walked from pretty much left to right or one side of the screen to traverse the game. There was almost nothing to explore at that point. No towns to go buy new gear (you did that from a save station), no side quests, no going out of the way for anything.
The same thing can be said about most other RPGs, but its the "freedom" of a town in some or going back and forth that gives a sense of nonlinearity. But yes, in reality, you go to town A, finish Dungeon1, move to town B, finish dungeon 2, maybe go back to Town A since the path opened then move to town C.
While Oblivion may be more open world since you can travel everywhere you want, you have to complete a storyline or guild in a proper order giving it some sense of linearity.
Shooters are linear, platformers are VERY linear (Start here, end here... even if it is in 3D).
So yes, in fact most things are "linear", it's a colloquialism of the word that makes people think there is literally no other path you can take that brings the word out in a negative context.
I hope the digital content that they gave away doesn't unfairly give people an advantage because they paid for the prettier version though...
[QUOTE="SemiMaster"]Got my emblem at least a few days ago.juniorbrickieCongrates! Thanks. I take it by me being the only response to the only other person posting, meaning you, tells us that everyone who did well probably got their emblems by now?
I had to quit FFXI cold turkey because I was going back to school.
Plain and simple. It wasn't even a "good" game, but the grinding and loot gathering and making friends online was what kept me coming back. Face it, virtual dressup appeals to everyone. Glorified chatrooms if you want to call it that, but the game itself is the "topic of the chatroom" so there is common ground.
But no, I wish I had a sweet way to get people to quit addicting things.
