Oops I downloaded the update yesterday... I hope my system will be OK

Same, and I'm hoping that my console is going to be fine. I certainly don't want to buy another ps3 with the ps4 right around the corner--I've got a bunch of unopened games I haven't touched yet, in addition to a plethora of psn stuff. EDIT: if anybody had the console brick, do you mind sharing?

My console is bricked :( patiently awaiting for any word from Sony on what to do. I am sick over it, I just want my PS3 working again.

[QUOTE="cheesie253"] Just start putting your money away now. I am putting all my extra cash away for the fact I'm buying a ps4 an xbox one and wii u games. Let alone the 5 or more games I want when the big two launch. I've already actually paid off the Xbox one and I am buying a ps4 my friend will use in his games store to bring people in. He said he will have it up no more than two weeks to a month. Just have to start paying off the games I want preordered. cheesie253

Ya, I am putting money away already, I just wanna know the proper amount to budget which I can only guess at currently. I am taking about 50 every paycheck right now but that includes PS3 games in it as well.

Well we know the system cost. That's an easy one. Take which games you want and estimate it at $60 a game. Put so e extra aside for an extra controller if needed which are also $60. Then put a little away on top of that just in case game prices go up. Also put some extra aside for any games that may pop up unexpected at launch.

Beyond: Two Souls is the only game that I am going to get that is upcoming, everything else is something I need to get from a while ago as I got my PS3 late into its life so I will likely get those on cheap or even after I already have my PS4. And I may hold off on getting any games for the PS4 off the bat as I am a PS+ subscriber so I will have instant access to Drive Club, Warframe, Planetside, and DCUO. This will be good enough for a start for me.  If game prices go up I am cancelling my pre-order and switching completely over to PC haha.

It's just for the PS4, I hope the Gaikai doesn't come with an additional cost, but i think Sony won't screw us over with that. They know they are going to hear it, just look at MS. They are doing really badThe_Last_Ride
I am interested in seeing how they handle Gaikai. I think the best case scenario is they allow us to stream games that we have already purchased and we can buy access to others. I just fear they are going to want to make a decent amount of money off of it somehow as they spent a lot of money aquiring it. The best way to do that may be through a subscription. We will just have to see!

It depends. If you plan on getting the PS4 at launch I would say no, but if you are holding off for a year or two after launch then I would say get a good used deal on it and play through some Sony series so that you can pick there successors on the PS4! Do keep in mind though that in 2014 Gaikai will likely be streaming PS3 games.

If you buy the disc version of the game, it only installs like 46mb on your hdd... the digital manual is only like 35mb. The saves are less than 1mb each. So yeah, you should have no problem.

DaRq_MiNoS

Ya, my apologies I was referencing the digital version. Disc version you will have no issues!

I would say Sleeping Dogs first as it is a fun, quick game to get through. Then Demon's Souls as it is a great game. Follow that up with Vanquish and Saint Row: The Third as you will want some over the top, dumb fun after Demon's Souls. You have now played a few 3rd person action so I would get a change of pace with LittleBitPlanet 2. After this I would go with Deus Ex: Human Revolution to get back into a serious game, then Infamous 2. Follow that with Darksiders as it is not as projectile based.  Then go with Spec Ops: The Line for a very emotional story, ending with the fantastic XCOM. Hope this helped!

Ya I grabbed a PS3 around Christmas of last year because it was a good deal and there were some good looking games. I fell back in love with Sony after I said I would never support there Playstation product again. If you are looking into getting a PS4, I am sure that whenever they get Gaikai up to stream games The Last of Us will be one of the first!
