recent ps3 update WATCH OUT!!!

Hey just giving a heads up it seems if you have a upgradded hardrive the recent update may screw your data. It just happend to me I thought I would pass the word.

Ya i read that. Thats effed up. Lucky I have my original HDD. But bad news for upgraded HDD users. 

PS should give out free cloud backup and a selection of free games for the ones who got affected.

EDIT: Update: Sony rolled back Firmware 4.45. When you boot up your PS3, you will no longer be prompted to download.

Hmm...  No idea if my girlfriend updated or not.  She used the system yesterday.

I was playing a game a little bit ago and it was fine, anyway.

I have an upgraded hard drive and it didn't affect mine. Got lucky, but I didn't know there was a problem with the update at the time I was downloading it.
