I made... 5 posts on Nameless in 24 hours, and I'm hitting a posting limit?

What the hell?!

This better be a bug, else, I have no idea how GS wants to attract new users.

So, Dave is already gone?

What a shame, he'll be missed. Not the best of trolls, but he was fun here and there... :(

For me, it's Red Dead Redemption, that's all I care about.

Guess there are a few others I'd give a try on the PC if the price was low enough, but RDR is the only one I'd truly be excited about if it made it's way on the PC... which isn't happening.

Better start getting used to it, cows.

F2P and MMO, you'll be seeing it a lot... won't be long before it's another awesome thing invented by consoles that's better than sliced bread! :)

I got screen tearing on all my PC games, but I think its cause my specs even though I can run stuff nicely.

Lief_Ericson

You fight screen tearing by enabling "Vertical Sync" option, but keep in mind, for it to work right, you need to be able to run the game at stable 60+ FPS, if you go anywhere under 60, you'll drop down straight to 30 until the game can go back to 60, which means stutter.

However, you can look into forcing VSync+triple buffering through an app called D3DOverrider. In that case, dropping under 60 FPS won't drop your frame rate to 30 FPS. Some games have built-in triple buffering option, but usually, no luck. Really hope it becomes a standard in the future.

Another option, if you have an Nvidia card, use "Adaptive Sync" through the driver, that's what I do, and it works very well.

[QUOTE="locopatho"]I found pistols weak but thought rifles and shottys were brutal. I'm defo in the minority cause of heard this a load of times. I also thought Uncharted 1 was an incredible game tho so don't mind me :Plocopatho

:o

Don't even get me started on that, I could write a book on why you're wrong on every level imaginable! :P

Let's just say, I still have an occasional nightmare about that jet-ski level, the boss that makes no sense, or the bunker full of monsters that makes even less sense, if that's possible.

The jet ski seemed like something I WOULD/SHOULD hate yet enjoyed. The boss was great fun! The monsters were very strange, unexpected, confusing, but ultimately fun to fight. It the first PS3 game I truly loved :P Fond memories of getting bolloxed drunk at a friends house and playing it, and going BATSHIT MENTAL every time I found a treasure :P Good times, good times!

Well, if I played it earlier on release, guess I would've been more forgiving, but I played it in early 2011, and by then, damn, was I pissed for wasting my time.

And yeah, easier to swallow crap with a few friends and some booze... a few times, they even made me play sport games! :P

[QUOTE="Rocker6"]

[QUOTE="mitu123"]Get the DX11 patch along with high res textures.

mitu123

MaldoHD is far more important.

Honestly, DX11 and high-res textures introduce very little change in Crysis 2, aside from a major performance drop due to rushed DX11 integration. Remember tessellated water running under entire levels for no reason, or some minor objects being heavily tessellated?

That too, I used MaldoHD before and it's much better.

And yeah that last line is true, lol.

Have you tried the final, 4.0 version?

It's beautiful, and with my single 670, it ran silky smooth, stable frame rate in the 50 range all the way through. Must say, one of the best visual overhaul mods I ever saw.
