[QUOTE="kilerchese"]

The 5750 is roughly the 4670-4770 replacement.

The 5770 is about the 4850-4870 replacement, though it can reach speeds of the 4890.

5850 = 4890

5870 = 4870 X2

musclesforcier

Well the 5850 is much faster and $100 more then the 4890. I think a 5830 will be released which will be more around a 4890.

The cheapest 5850 currently is http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10011258&prodlist=celebroswhich is $145 more than the cheapest 4890 http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10010987&prodlist=celebros. The gap is bigger than you think I know when the 5850 card first came out it was like $260, but at that price the quantities were low and out of stock constantly.

Right now I'm leaning towards the wired though it would be nice to use my 4 wireless controllers on the pc.

The 4890 is much better, though I would suggest getting a cheaper one to complement your budget.

So I can pick up a wired for $30 or a wireless one with the reciever for $40. I already have 4 360 controllers 1 wired and 3 wireless and 2 rechargeable battery packs. I'm getting l4d 2 for pc for better graphics and mods so I need 1 more controller for me and my sis to play with. I have heard the wireless can interfere with a wirelss mouse which I have. Should I go for a wired or wireless controller?

What chipset is my mobo? You mean socket type? AM2+ Sorry not sure what you mean...

EDIT: here is the official page http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/t-series/introduction.php?S_ID=353

Ok well you see when it says "AMD overdrive cannot detect AMD 7-series chipset on this computer" It's because the chipset you mobo is composed of is not from the amd 7 series chipset. Your chipset is a Nvidia Geforce 8200, since that's not a amd chipset you can't use the amd overdrive program to monitor temps. For example since I have a 790gx chipset on my mobo and since AMD overdrive supports that chipset it will read the temps.

[QUOTE="DabsTight703"][QUOTE="AzNs3nSaT1On"][QUOTE="scoots9"]

The P6T does not work with the i7 8xx series, it is designed to work with the i7 9xx, they are different sockets.

ya the op definitely needs to do a bit more research on computer assembly because it shows that he doesn't know what he's talking about.

How did you make that assessment? Was it by reading the post stating I don't know much about i5/i7 builds? It wasn't? Then you should stfu.

Alright man, no need to say that. This is an "E" rated forum!

[QUOTE="Recontrooper"][QUOTE="smc91352"] why? A side window? Not worth the $300 imo.smc91352
Uh I didn't say anything about the side window, please don't put words in my mouth. Anyways I agree it's overpriced, though if you have the money the 800d is bigger which is always nice plus,it has an amazing cable mangement system, dust filters, chamber compartments, and a nice black finish to finish it off(no pun intended).

I never said you mentioned the side window. :| And alot of those descriptions apply to my HAF.

Ok you ask me why I think the 800d is a great watercooling case and suggest b/c it has a side window. As to the HAF having what I listed, not really. There are no dust filters, the HAF is big though, just not as big, the HAF does have a good cable mangement but the Corsair has many more holes with rubber grommets to, and the HAF doesn't have chambers like the Corsair does, and there is no black finish in the HAF(unless you paint it yourself).

PS I don't want a flame war, I'm just supporting why I believe the 800d is the superior watercooling case, in the end you can't go wrong with either.

[QUOTE="Recontrooper"][QUOTE="04dcarraher"]You can use watercooling in the HAF 932 easily.smc91352
True, I wasn't implying you couldn't, it's just the 800d isn't worth it over the HAF 932 in air cooling terms as much b/c the HAf 932 has far superior air cooling temps. When it comes the water cooling the 800 imo is the ultimate dream.

why? A side window? Not worth the $300 imo.
