[QUOTE="Teufelhuhn"]Nfactor keeps an ongoing list over at systemwars.com, I think. Nike_Air
so , gamespot is their official site for reviews ?

Gamespot does own Gamerankings, but its just a rating repository with an aggregate score. Nothing fancy, but still pretty useful.

NBA Live 07 is just straight terrible. My biggest letdown has been Star Trek: Legacy though. Its good if you're a fan of the series just for the novelty factor, but it could have been soooo much more if they didn't completely half-ass the plot and story.

[QUOTE="V4LENT1NE"][QUOTE="ReaperXxxx"]The host advantage is because of the server-side hit detection vs. games like UT2004 which have client-side hit detection. The difference is that latency in a connection can have a far greater effect when using server-side hit detection. This really only applies in Gears to the shotgun and its severity varies widely. I find that if the host has a truly righteous connection like Fiber, Cable, or a T1 line, the host advantage is minimal. I say this because I host a few games every now and then and when I had DSL I noticed a fairly prominent host advantage but when I switched to cable (on Comcast's upgraded network) the advantage when I host seems to be far less. I also hosted a few games on a T1 while playing at one of my fiend's businesses (its a digital design studio) and noticed almost no advantage. Its hit or miss but the end result is this; if you're good at the game you'll get a lot of kills, hosting or not, and if you suck then you'll die a lot.

Problem if they put client side in though when you have a cover system, COD2 had this problem when you would run behind of a car and then die when behind of it..........because the other player shot you on the way to the car but it took time to register, imagine that in a game like Gears with a cover system.........getting shot behind of cover, getting sawed while running. The only thing that would really help Gears is dedicated servers, thats why UT works well.

True, dedicated servers would fix the problem. Unfortunately I don't see that happening any time soon.

[QUOTE="KeyWii"][QUOTE="Heith"][QUOTE="coreygames"]Nice, they look kinda touched up though. I'll wait for a movie or clip before making any lasting judgements.Heith
They dont look any better than GeoW, I dont see why they would be touched up unless thats a PS3 pic

You're absolutely right. There's no need to touch up the X360 version, it will look good no matter what. You're also right that UT3 looks like garbage compared to Gears of War. Har har har. We're too smart for our own good Heith!

wow, is that .. sarcasm? The sad part is that your "sarcasm" has no basis, being that all the multiplats so far have looked better and played better on 360, thus getting higher scores.. and it DOES infact looks almost like a spin off of GeoW.. pathetic attempt

So UT2007, the next in what has been a tremendously popular franchise, appears to be a spin off of Gears, a game that just came out a few months ago. Awesome logic, very intelligent. Really.

[QUOTE="zeldafan00013"]supposidly i was banned for major hacks and got mentioned on SPIKE TV's video game show as one of the best hackers in the game of HALO 2 I think it was a yet i never hacked in any games. lol. I am just good i dont need to cheat, best sniper you will ever play against in Halo 2.GhostRiderMike
i bet if halo 2 didnt have auto aim u wouldnt be as good

Please pay attention to your terminology. Metroid Prime has auto-aim, Halo 2 has aim -assist. BIG difference.

For me, it seems to be the one thing holding me back from buying a 360. I really want Gears and Dead Rising, but the controller seems a bit bulky with unusual-placed analog sticks. Or have I been playing PS2 too much? SergeantSnitch
Best controller I have ever owned. I always loved my PS2 Logitech Wireless controller, but the analogs placed side-by-side like that are a little awkward for FPS games. The rumble implementation is better than the last-gen systems too, it feels a little more sensitive.
