The state of the Game market. Single players games are very short. Many game development houses are closed, closing, or people in them are being cut. Many Indie developers are moving to IOS/ Android or PSN/Live platforms. Which are DD and unable to sell second hand.

Now Used games are being sold at Target, Best Buy... Game RENTAL from Redbox, Game-fly, blockbuster, ... these are growing while publishers are making less profit except from Specific games. ....

LOL wow, I guess in a way its not a bad deal but with PS3 you do not need to pay to use Netflex, Play games online, Hulu, Hulu+.... So in the end its LOT cheaper to own a PS3. I guess Sony should look at this and offer PSN+ and a subscription over 2-5 years so those people who do not have all the money can pay over the next few years.

use that hand controller with New Eyetoy camera with depth perception and finger movement ability, and you have yourself a winner. I can see it working for fighting games like fight night or Tekken. I like more kinds of INTERACTION, and this is a step in ONE direction that is good to have. Virtual Reality helmets will be next. Prior to just jacking in Via Matrix.

Holy ...(r@% that PS3 controller looks crazy then I saw the Xbox controller and though Holy Crap that PS3 controller looks unplayable. That Xbox controller could kill someone but that PS3 controller looks unusable. I know they were thinking outside the box but tell that guy that came up with the idea to try to play a game with it.

2012 E3 Nintendo will introduce the Wii U and some games. MS will intro their 3rd console. (Xbox 360 was introduced at E3 2005 and launched in November 2005. Sony will focus on PS3 and PSV. With little to no attintion to PSP and PS2. 2012 Nintendo Launches. IT will sell but not so well. People will wait for the games. Many ports from PS3 and Xbox 360 will now come to NIntendo Wii U. MS may launch its 3rd console... or wait till 2013 it will sell either way. Some will complain some will cheer. just like they did when the Xbox 360 launched. Sony launches PSV and it does as well as can be expected.

@ Trickymaster ... That MAY end up the case but there is a huge number of people who do not buy used games. THE main contraversy will be the price of games!! IF MS carges the same price or more "due to cost to make games" then YES a revolt will happen. BUT remember that Sony and Nintendo will natrually join in on banning used games. So I do not see it becoming a reason to pick either of the other two consoles.

Wii U in 2012 will be a good system stronger than what there is now and will cost about 249. It will sell well just not as well as Wii did. Look for some games that should have come out for the Wii. PSV launch 2012 Great games and conection to PS3 will lift this to good sales. I just HOPE that there is a way to use it with games on the PS3 for some tablet interaction. YES I know that the Wii U will be able to do this and they anounced it first....BFD that does not mean that Sony should not use such interactions!!! Microsoft's Third console (Xbox 720, Xbox 3,...) 2012 - 2013 Microsoft has the money, They made a lot of it from Live so they can launch and not worry about a flop or not. They have enough people who are willing to buy. In addition Microsoft has Windows 8, and DirectX 11 waiting to go on the new console, as well as intergration of Microsoft TV. Last but not least I do not see Sony launching this year at ALL. With the yen so high ATM, Sony launching PSV, and Sony lossing SO much money with the launch of PS3. I just can not see them losing Billions again when PS3 is starting to pick up steam as it hits the magic $199.00 Price, and library of tools expand, while the cost to make games drop. I see NO earlier than 2014 for PS4. I can only hope they do something DIFFERENT. Not the same kinds of games with better graphics.

Next Gen if it starts in 2012 will be a hard time for all. With the : economy, Cost of game Development, Cost of games, Cost of consoles, peripherals, Online, AND the Many options to play games (3DS, IOS, Android, PSV, consoles, PC MMO... ) not to mention Online social interaction. I think that for more and more people there is more money to spend elsewhere than on ALL 3 consoles and the number of videogames for all to continue.

I would pay more say 299.99 and 349.99 if the screen was bigger say 5.9 - 6.0 inches. as it is a big difference when watching movies and playing games. My PSP just did not get as much time as I would have liked due to the screen size Still it is better than an Ipod touch, with better specs, screen size and vita uses Android at a little more in price. So I just hope it can sell as well, or better.
