Dunno, Star Wars was actually great once. Fable was...popular. I always found it rather simplistic. It was fun for a few hours, but lacked any kind of depth. The combat was simplistic. Never understood the hype. For my money, Kingdoms of Amalur did everything Fable did (as far as combat, exploration, and art direction), but better.

@PrpleTrtleBuBum: Yeah, that one was pretty rich. I don’t like dating girls with fake nails, either. I’m sure that makes me some kind of bigot.

The preposterous thing about their argument is it vests trans people with rights previously unimagined for any group in modern US history (save perhaps anti-homosexuals)—that they should have the power to dictate whom I find sexually appealing.

I’m not even a Rowling fan (mostly like her work, I like her less). However, I’m completely with her here. A certain rabid minority is just losing its mind. What the hell is controversial about stating an objective biological fact? JK didn’t put down trans people, she didn’t say they don’t have a right to live happy lives. She said biological women exist. Only in the preposterous year of 2020 can such an innocuous statement garner backlash. Get real. When “progressives” adopt such utter nonsense, they damage their own credibility and look like a joke. Stick to fighting the worthy fights, not sensationalizing non-issues.

Though it started okay, I really didn't care for "Discovery." I'm mostly pleased with "Picard." That said, Anson (and before him, Jason Isaacs) was the best thing about Discovery, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

@midna: At least the first one. It's an easy read for sci-fi and among my all-time favorite books. It'll give you a nice flavor of the Dune universe, even if you don't feel like reading all of the subsequent books. I believe the movie (two parts) is also limited to the first book.

@s1taz4a3l: I suspect, rather, it's because CDPR does it right. They don't just chase $$ without putting in the work to maintain the integrity of their IP. I'm sure it was always planned as a next-gen title, regardless of what they represent. It'd be completely stupid not to. However, they're also not going to release a lazy port. They're going to take the time to learn the system capabilities, optimize it, maybe make certain enhancements, and then release it. Could be wrong, but I doubt it.
