Yeah I kinda agree with him here. The Wii is great and all, but it was definitely a fluke in its popularity. If anyone remembers anything about launch, it DID NOT come with any good games and none were on the shelves for awhile. Legend of Zelda redeemed the system eventually, but they also had it for Gamecube, that's how unsure of its success even Nintendo was at the time. It's a cute little children's console that has developed a place with gamers over the years in a party and family atmosphere, but it took YEARS to get there. Also the motion was horrendous at first, just as probably the tablet is going to be garbage initially. They can't make a cheap AND effective game system the first time around, it simply does not work like that. People don't need or want a Wii U. They want a Wii that has all of the crap fixed and brought up to par with the real systems, like oh I don't know, REAL internet. Quirkiness is fine, it's what Nintendo does, but making the Wii U a NEW replacement console for the Wii is a horrible mistake

The tragedy here is the fact that people still don't seem to grasp the difference of things that matter and things that don't. This is what is meant by the insult "you have no life". Also, notice the list of all of the recent people who have "OD-ed" on video games. All from Asian countries. I'm not saying all Asians are like this or anything like that, but there's something seriously wrong in their culture that's pushing them to believe that it is a good idea to spend literally days playing a video game, and America is definitely not be far behind...

@fanirama yeah thats definitely not true. Batman carries Kryptonite on him specifically to weaken Superman. In fact, Batman stands a very good chance against anyone because he has specifically studied every other DC hero and villian to find and exploit their weakness. Batman is in no way James Bond because he's a genius and a badass. He also wouldn't fight in arena combat like this though because his main advantage comes from stealth and preperation

@Incubus420 thats actually not true, Batman beats Superman in the comics and in the past, games have balanced him by making the area have a low level of Kryptonite making him powerful, but killable

@wavelength121 you obviously live in a hole in the ground lol. The movie only broke the domestic box office sales record of all time. No big deal or anything

I have an idea, how about we DON'T make a crappy video game out of every single Blockbuster and oh, I don't know, try to make something original. The only games based off of movies worth playing are Star Wars ones, and even that's been shaken recently with Star Wars Kinect. It's a sad and desperate move when you have to cling to the fame of another work of art in order to get sales. They had better make it at least interesting and different from the movie otherwise they may as well just convert the film to a file playable on consoles and resell that at twice the cost of a DVD/Blu-Ray...oh no wait, that's probably what they will do

If there was time traveling available in multiplayer in some way, now THAT would be news...

oo new interesting storylines for COD. because people actually play the game for the campaign of course...does anybody actually remember a single COD storyline?....I didn't think so. How about making it more team based, something players actually care about. That'd be nice.

@Renunciation - Ah ok, well the problem is your examples do not fit the circumstance. What you are using as reference are national identities and transgenders issues are nothing of the sort. One must believe in a complex belief system in order to be a transgender, because one must at least believe that either one can choose their own gender or one can be born with the wrong gender. In my opinion it falls into the category of a philosophy or religion. So in essence, supporting it is like supporting a religion you know nothing about. My point is people are supporting it just because they believe in supporting everyone's ideas. I feel like our society has turned into a bunch of little children who are all told they are right by the teacher, even if they are spouting nonsense, and get yelled at by the other little kids for being "intolerant" if someone say anything against anyone elses' ideas. If you were to use the national identity example, transgenders would be like someone who was born in America and currently lives in America (and let us say for some reason they cannot leave) walking around insisting they are British nationals. And the people supporting their ideas would be like a German saying they understand someone born and living in America thinking they are British just so they don't offend people.

I think there are much more pressing matters than the image of transgenders in games. The disgusting objectification of women in general in video games (and all media) is a much more serious topic that has an enormous impact on our culture, and not for the better. Now THERE is an actual issue that needs to be dealt with. And if you disagree with me, pull your tongue back in and stop looking at porn.
