Also, I read about so many people having problems with their PSP. It concerns me a little that in a couple months mine won't work either. I bought it at Wal-Mart and they don't offer a warranty. Is there any way for me to get a protection plan for it? Or am I out of luck after the 1 year is up?

Thanks

Currently my only gaming system that I play is my DS Lite. I really like it and have several games for it. Now that I have my PSP I would like to start getting more games for it, however, there are so many options, I'm totally lost with where to start for my games.

For my DS Lite my favorite games are: New Super Mario Bros, Brain Age, Hotel Dusk, Garifield: A Tail of Two Kitties, and I like these but not as much, Monster House and some sort of a Scooby Doo game.

For my PSP I only have Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast. I basically bought it for a test game, it was on sale for $10 at GameStop. I like it, but don't really want another racing game.

But, based on my current games I'd like to try and find the games that I will like the most. I'd like:

I'd like to get at least one brain game, I always find them interesting. I've seen a few, not sure of which ones are the most fun.

I was considering getting Hot Shots Pro, seems pretty popular, but was curious if the game gets pretty old/boring after a while.

If possible, I would like to start out getting games that are $20 or less. One, I like to test the system first to see how I like it. Two, I've been a little crazy making purchases and need to try and spend a little less, so I would like to try and keep the cost lower. So any suggestions for games that are available for $20, most everywhere, would be great.

I would also like some suggestions for some more expensive games. Soon I would like to get some more expensive games, just not right now.

Finally, the other day when I was on GameSpot, I seen a review for Manhunt 2. As you can probably tell this is completely different from the games I normally get. However, I like mystery solving games (like CSI) and movies and shows as well, and I also like watching horror movies (like Saw). So, I thought it would be pretty cool to get a game that was like movies I like watching. But, I don't know if this game is going to be something I really don't like. Do you basically just kill people the whole time..... If you were me, do you think this would be a game you would like that all?

Sorry for all the questions. I just really don't know where to start. I want to get some good games, but there are so many I don't know what ones are going to be worth it for me. So, any help you could give me for game ideas would be really great.

Thanks a million!

NOISE: I noticed when playing my game that I can hear some spinning noises and on ocassion a sound that is similar to a click or something similar. Is this normal when playing games? I have not watched my UMD yet, so I don't know if it does the same thing or not.

SCREEN PROTECTORS: I have a DS Lite and have a screen protector on it that was originally for a Palm device. I've used them in the past and knew they work, so that is why I decided to use it on my DS screen. I'm a little worried to use the protectors that you can buy for the DS and PSP screen. I assume they have to be replaced over time, but do they leave the screen sticky or cause any problems?

CASES AND ACCESSORIES: I've noticed that there are a lot of cases that also include accessories, i.e. car charges and such. From your experience which is the best one available, best value, etc? There are so many options I don't know which one is best. I kind of like the larger metal cases that can hold a lot of things..... Would any of these cases be able to hold both my PSP and my DS Lite? I have a seperate case for each one, but once and a while would like to take both with me. I know most have compartments for games and gear, but wasn't sure if they were large enough for both systems.

GETTING ONLINE: Finally, I set up my internet connection and I still cannot get on. I'm not sure what the problem is. All it says when I try to connect is "A connection error has occurred. A connection to the access point could not be established. Check the security settings for the network and try again." I use a Linksys router and I've never had a problem connecting any of my wireless devices to this network, so I really don't know where to start to try and solve it.

Sorry for all the questions, its just this is all new and I don't know where to start.

Thanks

Despite several peoples suggestion to not get the PSP, I decided to get it. It just seemed like the right system for me. I finally got my PSP and opened it. I was really exicted, charged it up, waited and waited. The first thing I did was check for a dead pixel cause I've heard this is a pretty common problem, didn't see anything, was really happy.

I started playing again later and was watching the screen more closely. Well, I noticed when there was a completely black screen (while it was starting a game up) closer to the top of the screen in the middle, one little tiny dot was lit, everything else was black. So, I checked with the different theme colors and it did the same thing on a few of the darker colors. I am assuming this is what the dead pixel is, or perhaps a hot pixel.

I've been thinking about it, I only have one game right now, a racing game, and one UMD movie. So, in my racing game I don't really notice the pixel and I would think in most games I wouldn't. But, I'm concerned it may bug me a little when I'm watching movies (I tend to be a person that can miss everything that is perfect and concentrate only on the one little problem).....

But, how big of a problem is the dead pixels? I would hate to get one that ends up being worse. If I take it back, am I likely to have the same problem?

Another thing I wasn't to sure of is if this is only a problem that you will have from the start, or if it is something that can develop over time? I didn't notice it at first, so I'm a little worried they are all going to start doing it. I'd hate to just sit and watch as my PSP slowly goes dark on me

In the packaging it says not to return to the store, I bought it at Wal-Mart. But, I really don't want to have to wait on Sony to ship me a new one or fix or anything like that, can Wal-Mart replace it for me?

I noticed the problem yesterday and played for probably an hour or so today. Maybe I'm crazy, but it kind of seems like the pixel isn't as noticeable as it was..... Is there a chance that it may go away on its own?

Thanks everyone!
