I finished X-beyond the frontier a couple days back. Mediocre and tedious. But I went through it for the sake of it.

@id_mew: I might. It depends how much the 3070 costs once it drops here. If it is anywhere close to the announcement price then there is a high chance I will. But it it goes beyond that, then no. Might opt for a used 2080 or something.

I have only played Tricky, and though I am not a sports fan, I love it. I wanted to try SSX 3. I find the idea of its courses to be part of one giant course to be rather appealing. I will get it once I can find a copy. That last gen SSX and currently Ubisoft's steep, just don't cut it.

@blazepanzer24: Not good at all. If your boards are dying on you why not return them? Don't nuke everything! Whats up with your boards dying? That is not normal. How many boards died on you?

@RSM-HQ: I think there is not much talk about it because there aren't that many people owning VR headsets. I doubt the game passed 1 million copies sold. It did drive Index sales though, to the point where it sold out.

I have 3 more theories. One serious, the other 2, a bit out there.

The events of Alyx never happened before the events of half life 2. Eli and Russel just stole a reactor and never found anything regarding the vault. Since Eli's death did occur in ep2, there was no vault, Alyx never went into the quarantine zone, never entered the prison and never saved her father in the future. G-man going back to find a replacement for Gordon, and his subsequent capture created those events.

Interstellar gang wars. Everyone, the combine, G-man, his employees, nihilanth, they are all space mobsters. We are engaged in an interstellar turf war. Who's not to say that the occupation of earth is not illegal by whatever authority runs the galaxy.

It is all an alien sport/game. Humanity, the vorts, all lesser species are just peons to the combine and G-man's employees. What's the game, what are the rules, what do they bet? No one knows for sure.

eternal daughter, an amazing metroidvania type game that should it had been released during the age of SNES, we would have a classic in our hands today.

treasure adventure game, a metroidvania game that has a very interesting plot and plenty of exploration.

treasure hunter man is a metroidvania type series and fairly well made

cave story is a no brainer and you should defo check it out. But I think it leans more on action platformer.

Another metroid 2 remake Top of the line fan game aiming at remaking the classic gameboy game with improved graphics and sound. NOTE: Since Nintendo has demanded the removal of any downloads you wont be able to find it in its official blog. You need to search it yourself. Be warned of fake downloads!

Hydra castle labyrinth A japanese metroidvania style action game with cutsie art style.

Ainevoltas 2 Another medroidvania with RPG elements. Fairly simple, but still fun.
