I'm sorry, I didn't check the calendar this morning...is it april 1st? I've defended the xbox from blatent fanboyism quite a bit but I never saw this coming.
Of course it isn't, $500 is fine, ps3 launched at 599 and people bought it. £420 however, is an incomprehensibly high price for a system with a list of features that likely wont work outside the US.
I know that in a lost of parts of south america stores sell pirated games and hacked consoles straight off the shelf. It's the same in other places also. Games cost an entire month's salery there, nobody buys them. In fact, publishing companies often factor in south american piracy rates to make it seem like piracy is a larger problem than it is.
Most of the countries that don't have proper internet have sky high piracy rates anyway. With the exception of a few. If you don't have internet at your residence in this day and age you're not the intended end user of this system. And microsoft will make no loss in not selling to those people.
I'm really interested in what universe is ryse call of duty with swords? I didn't like the look of the game but that is a nonsensical comparrison. It's all too common for people to throw around call of duty as an insult these days, when really, call of duty is one of the biggest, and, no matter what your opinion, most inovative FPS games in history. Like it or not.
I don't expect to see comments like "ryse is just like call of duty" outside of the blog post of a disgruntled fanboy let alone in an article on the front page of gamespot.
