@PSYCHOV3N0M: No, you are. You're explicitly asking Publishers and Developers to add onto a game without creating a finished product before they even release it. 90% of the time DLC is garbage. Some are great and would be standalone. But guess what....that DLC also has achievements. It is up to the individual how they choose to play a game. Trophies don't ruin anything. You can choose to pursue them or not. If you are finished with a game and you have a 90% completion rate, the completionist within you is going to want to get 100% and do the things necessary to do so. Some trophies are better than others, as with DLC. Simply capitalizing words does not make your statement more poignant or correct. This isn't an either/or. Both can, and do. To simply say that trophies never do and only DLC does is inaccurate.
@ballashotcaller: I look at it differently. I think trophies/achievements do a good job of cataloging the games you've played and also gives you a reason to extend the life of a game sometimes. Good achievement/trophy design can be fun in and of itself. There are some of course that are tedious and worthless, but that is your discretion to attempt that or not. To each their own. Some people actually enjoy getting all the achievements.
@hu07: Oh and by the way the blacks were Nubians and the Egyptians are portrayed as actually killing them in battles. There are paintings while Ramses was king and Nubians are black and the Egyptians are a different color. Try again. There are also pictures of blacks being servants of egyptians. I'm sorry, you must be one of those people who are hung up on trying to hold on to some false glory.
@hu07: They have done studies, Egyptians were not black. That has nothing to do with white nationalism. Egyptians were west asian/etc. Cleopatra was greek as well.
