Hi there. :)

So here's the deal. I've been rushing AC games ever since I played through AC4: Black Flag on my PS4, which is also the first AC game I completed. After that I've finished all AC games, except for AC3, which I'm going to complete today (on memory 8 atm).

I feel like I've played them a little too much, but Unity is something I've been waiting for. Now though, for the negative reviews I'm getting mixed feelings. I've watched some streaming on Twitch and still cannot make up my mind. I really kind of want the game, but why does it get so bad reviews? What's the problems with the FPS? Help me out.

So, if AC: Unity does not really suit for me now, I have other options. One of them is COD: Advanced Warfare, BUT that game looks WAY too similar to Destiny, which I already have. Is it though?

And Shadow of Mordor... looks fun, but Unity kinda looks more fun.

Which game to get?

Sign up here. Perhaps we can let our voices be heard, I hope so at least. I've been reading topics across the internet and it seems people all over the world are waiting for a new skateboarding game. Would honestly be so awesome to have one on the next gen consoles.

I tried installing some jerusalem fix, but only got virus instead. Now the virus is fully removed (finally). I decided to give up with the damn PC version and just finish the first AC on Xbox 360 and then continue with the rest AC games on PC, hopefully they work better.

Tried XP mode? you could also try blocking internet access for the game, just google "how to block applications from the internet"

I have now blocked the game from internet and I have tried XP service pack 2 and 3. All of them crash. And while it most of the time completely random when it crashes, it seems that now it crashes right after I click "load memory block 2" as I'm trying to begin that mission, and then the game goes on white screen to load as it's supposed to aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I'm back to desktop.

@GTR12: I have tried that and I do not use steam, I own a physical copy of the game. I've tried opening the game with DX9 and DX10 launcher, same problem.

@GTR12:

The game updates itself automatically. I tried downloading the patch manually from their website, but it says the patch is meant for version 1.0 and I already have version 1.02 which is what the patch would be.

Edit. What do you mean by memory leak btw? I'm a newbie with this stuff, so I really got no idea about that. How do I fix it?

Hi.

Earlier I made a post about having problems with running AC1. The game kept crashing to desktop and then I thought I had fixed it after reinstalling the game. I was wrong. It worked for the first time I played after reinstallation, but now I got the same problem again.

My specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium

GeForce GTX750

8.00 Gt RAM

AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor

1920x1080, 60 Hz

I've tried to:

- Delete all the files and re-install the game.

- Let the windows update even all the unnecessary updates.

- Block the directx10 launcher (of AC1) from firewall.

- Adjust multisampling from 0 to 2.

- Play without internet connected. This worked for the longest, about a 45 minutes, I guess.

- Run with Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

Sometimes after the game shuts down straight to desktop, my Windows asks "Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance?" I have no idea what it means, but I have let it use the color settings and the game still kept crashing.

I got it working. Here's what I did:

I uninstalled the game (think it was second time I did this). I installed all the unnecessary Windows 7 updates (my computer noted the updates as unnecessary). I installed Assassin's Creed 1 from the disc (starting the whole installation process from beginning) and here's what I believe is the reason it works now; after the installation is complete, the game asks do I want to register to Ubisoft now. I checked the "remind me in 7 days" and closed that window. Now that I didn't register the game, it doesn't try to access Ubisoft servers, which as I heard doesn't exist anymore, which caused the game to crash in the first place (the game trying to access those servers in the first place).

I also got my Xbox 360 wired controller for Windows working on this game as well. Here's how: I connected the controller and restarted the computer. After that I ran Assassin's Creed and there it was on the controller options "Xbox 360 controller", I chose it and it works just fine now.

Hope this helps those with similar problems.

I simply cannot play this game on my PC. I'm sure the computer meets the requirements, as I built it myself a month ago. I've got a Windows 7 and this game just shuts down about 30 seconds in. I've got the physical copy of the game. I read that steam users fixed the issue by disconnecting internet, because the game tries to connect Ubisoft servers, which doesn't exist.

I wonder if that's the case for me as well, at least blocking the IPS didn't work... and I really wouldn't like to disconnect from internet every time I try to play the game...

Any fixes on this issue yet?
