Steam had the same problem starting out people hate to have to have something running to play games or at least hated.. then steam exploded people made friends and such and now... there's a new guy on the block and steam has(not ea) stopped selling ea games because steam wants to have the ability to sell every dlc through their service.. ea wants to sell the service without having ot pay steam.. so we have origin as it is now.. a few years from now people will probably love it. By the way steam does the same thing as Origin as far as making their own games exclusive so no one's really a bad guy here it's two companies wanting control. As far as Origin itself it's actually not bad it's just people have roots in steam and steam does have more atm.. though I have a feeling that's not going to always be the case.
