No, I just don't think people will boycott or be up in arms about issues in games as long as the overall experience was enjoyable enough. I think that without a doubt people obviously always want games to strive to be better, more innovative, but what are we going to do right now with the myriad of games out today? We love games, do we simply stop playing them all just because they have flaws? That said, are you talking about avid gamers or people that will buy COD and Madden every year? I think those that will buy Madden and COD every year do have low standards, but it doesn't really matter to them because all they want to do is play a 'new' game with their friends. Avid game players that will take the time to get all the way through a game like RDR2, or be compelled to play through a Dark Souls game multiple times, I wouldn't say their standards are low. We take what we can get and always hope for something greater. I also wouldn't say that these games are terrible and you may need to look at a wider audience to see that not everyone is happy about where games are at currently.

I'm sure you will notice an upgrade, but you're not getting the benefits of what a 4k TV can bring aside from just resolution, such as HDR or even with some of the more advanced TVs, like variable refresh rates. You're also most likely not getting extremely dark blacks either due to HD TVs local dimming abilities (or lack of it). The lighting and color in games will be less accurate. So yes, it definitely won't look as sharp, but you'll see some benefits. For example, if ray tracing works well next-gen, you'll definitely see that. 4k is great, but it's not just the 4k that makes a 4k screen worth getting.

I played it on 360 and didn't have this problem. As for Redux, I'm really excited; that's the next game for me to get. As for the PC version, I don't think many had this problem either. If you're playing on PC, it may have just been your PC, and not the game.

You don't get a choice. You always have the compass.

@flax174: Yeah, that's all true, but I think a good point some people can bring up is his voice; it's way different from one another, and I don't think him being ill would change it in that way. Furthermore, I don't know why the text is bold, but it happens.

It only takes about six hours to do everything and upgrade everything; don't know how you're on ten hours, but whatever. Anyways, I'm not sure what you mean by the cutscenes dragging out. The story's goofy, so while I would recommend paying attention due to it being mostly funny, and having a lot of references, the story isn't really paramount, and while I personally wasn't necessarily disappointed in it, I do think they could go a little further with it in a sequel, which I hope comes along.

Actually, I hadn't played Hotline Miami, but I heard a lot of good things about it, and yeah, from the sound of it, the music is right down my ally, thanks. Sorry, this is super late, so I could be just not talking to anyone here if you don't come back the this thread.

There are no answers, only theories. I don't think your last question applies, though it can. I mean, does Booker/Comstock ever really die? Does Booker really ever save his daughter for good? Some say of course, and some so no, because what happens in the game happens 'infinite' times. This is what it's about, it's about how the player feels and interprets the story, which is a 'variable', while the entire game is a 'constant', because every single time you play the game, or someone else plays the game, it'll always lead you to the same end.

I advise you go find theories, and once you aren't confused about it, it's up to you to determine what really happened, and I guess, ultimately siding with an interpretation if you have none on your own. There are so many little touches in this game, if you had just beat it, you need to read, watch and/or listen to everything you can; you may be blown away, but not because you'll get concrete answers. Sorry for not answering your question, but you should go find other ideas to see what you finally think, but it's too complex and ambiguous to give any real answer.

The game brings up a lot of questions, and gives no real answer. Hopefully you're not thinking "What the hell are you talking about?" It'll make sense later. There is no real understanding other than of what you make of it. The fact that you didn't 'understand' was a variable in the constant of your progression through the game. See, it's kind of messed up huh? Do you have other questions about it? I'm sure there are questions to be answered with truth.
