:x 8) I'm both jealous and pleased.
I've almost finished Little King's Story (so slight spoilers!?), and it is unique. I love how your citizens actually do stuff around your kingdom. Just the other day I realized that when you wake up in the morning/the news appears, and you hear trumpets, it's actually the guards on the top of the towers that are playing them and not just background music. Or how the carefree adults really do just sleep in the middle of the road but when Magical Land is built they dress up as wizards.
The bosses are difficult but fun, although I hate Lord Sauvage and his awesome beard. I think my favorite is TV Dinnah or Jumbo Champloon.
Speaking of citizens, it's surprisingly sad when one of them dies -- I think it's the music and that other citizens will actually dress up in black and go to the funeral.
Another thing I enjoy is that there is a malicious undertone. As you progress and meet the other kings you begin to realize that this isn't just about world domination (I mean, world unification!), but about world corruption, and how a lonely little boy deals with it. It's great how it's apparent once you realize what's going on, but subtle enough to not be annoyingly obvious. At the same time, it's funny and charming, balancing things out.
My only big complaints are that I wish the castle expanded more later in the game and the camera could have been better.
