Nuketown is the most unimaginative, lazy map design ever. Some BONUS. Who cares? Love the game, hate the map. Oh well... I guess at least, if I don't pre-order, I'll never have to play on it (I've avoided other trash maps like "Stadium" in the same way, by not buying map packs).
Being "cut out" of future Nuketown matches - Now, THAT'S what I call a BONUS!!!
Can all of the ME whining please stop? Wow... If even a QUARTER of the energy that's been put into this on the part of the public or press had been focused on something in the world that actually MATTERS, like human rights violations or the like, we'd have solved those problems by now.
I'm not biased against ORC because the media didn't review it well, and I'm not following along like a sheeple in my dislike of it. I'm avoiding the game for the same reason I've avoided a lot of RE since RE4; I don't like the game evolving into a shooter. I vote with my wallet.
Keep churning out thin, action crap, and I'll keep dodging it like the poop it is.
" ... as well as measures to block out used games, though analysts do not find this claim likely."
Question: THEN WHY EVEN TALK ABOUT IT???If all we've got is some arm-chair pundits making guesses about the size, color, and aroma of a poop not yet taken, then let's not even bring it up.
Some tool is just going to pick up that part of the commentary and run with it, all crying about the possibility of the sky falling... C'mon, GS. Let's clean it up and be a little more responsible when rumor-mongering. How about we don't pay it any more heed until someone high on the Sony food chain actually SAYS something about it one way or the other.
@BigGerty Well-Said. I think they'd better work something out with my ISP before they make such big plans with my gaming tech... The more I hear idiots blather about streaming this, and cloud-that, the more i wonder if they even KNOW what their data cap is at home...
@mustained13 It's just more "used-games steal from the industry" foundation being laid by ****s who don't understand that a good percentage of the world's Internet isn't capable of sustaining a stream/cloud based tech for gaming. Yet another dev (like Crytek before them), speaking out to alienate their buying public...
Great. Now show me a legitimate reason to buy a 3Ds in the first place, and we'll be all set... Not even "Resident Evil: Whatever" has caused me to bite. My DS Lite is as far as I'll be going, I think. 3D is BS, and only a gimmick tacked on for eye candy, adding nothing to the actual GAME.
I congratulate any game that challenges the gamer... All the games I love on console like "AeroElite Combat Academy", "IL*2 Sturmovik" on Realistic setting, and "Operation Flashpoint" on Hardcore setting are discounted due to a steep learning curve. Well, GOOD. I'm glad there are wash-out factors for the heartless. And I'm glad not every developer out there figures something needs to be "distilled" down to Call of Duty noob-ish-friendly... There ought to be a lot MORE games which strive for that sort of realism, and not to coddle the gamer so much...
With all of the back-up concerning "ARMA2" here, I can't help but think the reviewer might not have been the correct choice by the editor? Perhaps someone who had a little more time on a tactical shooter of this scale would have been better.
