I was expecting a slightly higher score, this isn't fair on the quality of the actual game. I would have given it an 8 or 8.5, but I am leaning towards the former than the latter. Looks fantastic, purchase it anyway because this will satisfy.
And here Tameem was saying to Gamespot's Jane Douglas in an interview that "the game's out this year" and it turns it he was wrong. Oh well, something unexpected.
That may be so, but it isn't as good as the one in previous games. That made you feel like Superman, whereas here, you look like a 40 year old man with a bear belly, jumping through the air with your legs spread out. Not a pretty sight.
Another 5 years? An 11 year lifespan for the consoles would seem beneficial, I mean after all, you did get your money's worth with the 360 & PS3. They were ahead of their time when they were released. The PS3 is still a powerful unit, but no game has come close to actually making the system sweat. All the games are far too low-end.
The bad factor about this game is the shoot-dodge maneuver, according to this review anyway, but that was one of the best things about the first 2. In other words, a staple of the series has gone to sh*t because of far too realistic physics. But this looks extremely tight, everything about it shines, like a GTA IV clone, but with a more interesting storyline. Dan Houser does it again.
CliffyB lays it down as if he knows what "innovative" is, anything that isn't a shooter is considered "innovative" in your eyes Bleszinski. Time to broaden your horizons my friend.
I remember bullet-time being extremely popular during the release of "The Matrix" and pretty much any other action movie on the silver screen at the time. But it's a 2 edged sword. Taking away the bullet-time is going to put off some gamers, leave it there, then it looks like you don't have any more ideas on how to progress the series.
