No, you're not getting it, mate. Developing resources are increasingly being focused on eye-candy features more and more, at the expense of actual gameplay mechanics.
Doesn't anyone care about gameplay anymore? Everyone seem to be fapping furiously at new graphics, but, uh, that is to be expected, since hardware is in constant evolution, but WHAT ABOUT GAMEPLAY???
FINALLY a proper RPG!! Haven't seen one of those for years! Original Sin, Wasteland 2, Age of Decadence, Legend of Grimrock... things are looking good.
So, AAA games ship with game-breaking bugs (Diablo 3, Skyrim, off the top of my head) or are just plain awful games (Dragon Age 2) but those issues are conveniently ignored/downplayed in the reviews because they buy a lot of adds on the site. I know this has been a standard practice for years but it's still BULLSHIT.
