@Kusimeka: yes sir! Much scarier than Outlast imo. The molded are pretty creepy and the atmosphere provides a lot of tension and dread. Felt like Evil Dead at first lol. Really happy with the purchase and the care the devs put into the game. It's refreshing to see Capcom getting praise.

@darksouls@girlusocrazy: RE4 was definitely better. 5 was better. RE6 was the worst. QTE's are pointless and provide no sense of urgency/danger, and was pretty much a Michael Bay movie. 5 was at least, as someone already said, a continuation off of 4's gameplay. I didn't like how in 6 you could run around and shoot people at the same time. (Though it was fun, and I did like 6 much to everyone's dismay, it simply wasn't as good.) RE4 was definitely creepy. 6, not in any way whatsoever. 5 wasn't really creepy either but I took it more seriously than in 6. I'm talking in choppy sentences cause I am pretty lazy. Inventory management is absent in 6, the only thing making it hard is the fact that everyone pretty much unloads on you with Professional difficulty, and I didn't like the lack of character development/focus for some characters in the story with 6. RE4 and 5, I was at least able to see some sort of growth and or personality with the characters as the story was much longer with that character. With 6, yes you get more campaigns with characters we like such as Chris or Leon, but they're also much much shorter and there isn't much screen time. I also didn't like Jake much at all, and preferred Sheva from 5. That is just my opinion, but at least 7 is doing well!

@jack00: Pretty sure I read that they fixed some of the issues people had with the 1v2 in the form of some sort of situational, limited buff. Though it definitely shouldn't be easy. I also heard that it was clunky but also gritty and realistic. I think it looks pretty good, though I'm a sucker for knights.

@kazeswen: Yeah, I can see how that would divide the player base. Nioh looks kinda fun to me in the sense that it reminds me of Ninja Gaiden and Onimushu. (I miss the days of Ninja Gaiden 2, I thought 3 was pretty bleh.) Dunno. I think I'm in need of a good action game like Bayonetta. Though Nioh seems to borrow quite a bit from Souls and I'm still playing DKS 3.

@kazeswen: Idk man, we both just have different opinions I think. I respect yours either way though. Witcher 3 is fun and I'm hoping I have time to play it soon after the dreadful finals week.

@kazeswen: It just depends on the player, many people love the Souls series for its difficulty even if you do feel its simply because of the amount of damage an enemy does or the stamina going down quickly. (This only encourages memorizing attack patterns for certain enemies, adapting, and using your new found knowledge to complete the task.) Some do not like the difficulty, such as yourself. Which isn't uncommon. Also, you don't have to grind at any point in the game unless you lose a significant amount of souls but that can easily be avoided if you return to a bonfire with a large amount of them. Even then, you don't have to farm. Numerous equipment like the Chloranthy ring or Grass Crest Shield also boost stamina regen so you don't need to worry about that. As for it's magical difficulty, I agree when you bring up Ninja Gaiden's difficulty or Onimushu. However, those games are not RPG's necessarily and the Souls series is more known for the amount of immersion it brings with it's hidden story and extravagant worlds with incredible enemy design. No, I personally don't think the game is incredibly difficult but that's because I've played the series for a long time and have understood the cautious playstyle the game encourages when encountering new enemies. Playthroughs after the first are generally much easier. (Though Champion Gundyr and Nameless King ripped my ass into oblivion)

The Souls series definitely appeals to a more narrow audience but I believe that 3 is one of the best ones to get newcomers involved. Easier covenant system, easier to play with friends, more fluid than past Souls games and plenty of options for builds and replayability. I'm a huge fan so I may sound bias, but there is a reason games like Nioh are taking Souls approach to the more difficult aspect and I believe that is to create the sense of overcoming difficult challenges. (I think I even read that was the goal with Nioh on their site.) I don't believe the Souls series is BS at all, as certain bosses and enemies all have movesets that you as the player can remember and use for the future to avoid and counter-attack. The game is suppose to punish you should you make a mistake and by dying, you realize why. Of course their damage output is going to be high. If you make a mistake by dodging or not dodging, you should lose some health in the process.

I haven't played Nioh yet but it looks pretty fun, and I am all up for games trying to increase the difficulty as long as it is fair like the Souls series. Adaptation, knowledge and overcoming a boss that has been beating you for awhile is a great feeling and one I've only experienced with Miyasaki's titles.

@Scorch_22: Same, I also experienced lag during the Dancer fight whenever she spun occasionally.

@greaseman1985: I noticed that too but I'm assuming they'll bring back favorites like Gridlock or maybe some Gears 3 maps. Overall I loved the beta and am still progressing for the beta rewards. I'm personally excited to see all the executions and characters in mp. (Hopefully with all the Carmines.) Quick question though, is the curb stomp in the beta?

@djape_boss: There's nothing wrong with the graphics lol. DOOM looks just as good. Theres been far worst graphics in other games released, I think once we see more later this year and with the beta we can talk then about how it looks. I personally think it looks fine, and gameplay has always reigned supreme compared to graphics for me. (Stardew Valley, any Telltale game, The Culling, Binding of Isaac, etc. I think you get the point.) You can have a beautiful game be shit just as easily as you can make a not so great graphical game play nicely.

Are they going to be doing any dlc's similar to The Pitt or Point Lookout? (Or the one's from New Vegas.) I appreciate these add ons but I really enjoyed going to new maps with new storylines to enjoy and new gear as well.
