@megagene Totally agree. The new movies robots look nothing like their G1 counterparts and to this day the Transformers Movie 1986 remains the best out there by a mile. I might actually get this game though, as I never had the chance to play the Cybertron games. Might look very good on ps4 as well.

@PS4andXoneGamer Platinumed Dark Souls 2 a few weeks back. Terrific game. I have high hopes for lords of the Fallen, which seems at a glance somewhat similar, albeit with much better-looking graphics. Bit of a wait though.

@CaveManCobb @MISTMAN77 @PS4andXoneGamer Thanks man. Yeah, just ordered Wolfenstein (May 20th just as you say) and Last of us....no release date yet. I think it may be in June sometime. mate of mine is trying to talk me into getting Watchdogs, but I dunno. The game just doesn't grab me.

@PS4andXoneGamer @MISTMAN77 When is that released? Think I may get Last of Us. Haven't played it on the ps3, but hear great things about it. Also Destiny and DA: Iniquisition when they arrive.

Was waiting for the review after learning that ESO was being put back (cancelled pre-order). Thought this may have been a decent replacement, but doesn't look good at all. Still sitting with only one ps4 game lol......onto the next one I suppose (whatever that is)

Following may contain spoilers......

Just began my Prince of Darkness play-through last night after enduring those shit-hard Kleidos challenges for the best part of a week. Finishing the game again should see me pick up the Platinum. Have to say that playing it once more is more enjoyable; no need to scavenge around for gems, memorials etc. Just get to relive the story and because of the higher difficulty the boss fights are even more epic and satisfying to overcome.

The main weapons and powers of course have to be unlocked again, but in NG+ you'll have all the xp you earned from your 1st play-through to max them out once unlocked, which is really helpful.

The story itself is terrific and although it had an ending that left a lot of unanswered questions I felt the sense of attonement and redemption that affects Gabriel/Dracula as you progress throughout the game.

It seemed to me that although he was the Prince of Darkness he had to embrace the Evil that he would become in order to defeat the Ultimate Evil in all creation; namely Satan and his powerful followers. So isn't he in a sense Gods Champion, and this was the Divine's plan all along? It looks that way to me. Has certain correlations with the Anakin/Vader thing when I think on it. But I guess everyone has their own take on the story, just adding mine.

The upcoming dlc should also provide a bit of information on the whole Alucard thing too; most notably how he came to working alongside the Lord of Death. How would he have been able to conceal his identity, and his intentions from the cunning Zobek? Should answer these questions and getting to play as a new character and a fan-favourite of the series should be good fun. I'm also expecting one more piece of the chapter to come out as dlc in the near future. Hopefully it will conclude the saga in the most sensible and final way possible that fans of the games will appreciate. The ending we got at the finale of the main game surely can't be how to wrap things up, and definitely deserves a more fitting closure.

Played up to the toymaker part...dunno where this is in the game exactly, but up to now I'm loving it immensely. The amount of moves, special attacks and powers to upgrade are better than before, as is the actual combat. Switching between your different powers is fluid and effortless, and makes for some exciting battles; particularly the boss encounters.

I can get the criticism over the stealth bits...were they really necessary? Thankfully they are not thrown up as often, or as tricky as some make out. Its merely a way to test out your different capabilities, ie; transformation or possession. Another criticism which I thought rather unfair is the modern-day area's of the game. Without too many spoilers the city in which you're going around has been constructed on the very ruins of your castle, and even in the modern setting if you look closely you can see the old battlements and towers that still stand. I think its actually a nice touch, and important to the storyline.

My only issue with the game up to now is the make-up of the map. Having it more "open-world" makes it slightly confusing the where you actually are and where to go next. But since I've only been playing since yesterday I may figure it out in time.

The game started off slowly; that is true. But then, so did part one, which really kicked off once you set off for the Land of the Lycans a few hours into the game. Its definitely getting better as I progress into it.

I remember LOS1 getting some mediocre reviews yet personally it was one of my favourite games on the ps3. Have part 2 coming on Friday, and I won't be too put off by this, or other reviews on the game. Its up to each individual to take what they find from their own experience playing it.

The modern-day setting that the reviewer was complaining about may not be everyone's cup of tea, but is most likely necessary to the whole story. And we still get to get back into the medieval setting again, so I don't see the problem here. As for the sneaking parts; Well I haven't played it yet of course, but from reports they only last a few moments and should be treated as a puzzle-orientated break from the combat.

My mate has the special edition pre-ordered, but having pre-ordered the new Castlevania game (which should be epic) I may wait & see if they'll bring out Dark Souls 2 to ps4, which I've read there is a possibility. Loved Demon Souls, and absolutely adored Dark Souls. Challenging as ****, but that's where the sense of achievement really tells.

Games nowadays tend to take you by the hand through them, and sloppiness is never really penalized, unlike these games. Looking forward to this immensely.
