@ph1nn: Build yourself what level of PC, exactly, to get your claimed 120fps? You’re either just making stuff up, or you have blind faith in some mythical generic “PC” that can do all, and for which you quote no price.

@Daelusca: It’s a board full of immature kids acting like monkeys flinging poo at each other, then sitting back with smug satisfaction at how they each believe themselves to be the best poo flinger. Some will eventually grow up. The rest we will probably hear about on the news.

@ph1nn: Again, as I pointed out above, there is no such thing as “PC.” You have to be specific about what PC configuration, and consequent price it takes to do what you suggest. There is no generic all-powerful “PC.”

@ph1nn: I haven’t played it yet, but from what I have heard it sounds like a classic case of a game where the gameplay is actually the focus. Looking forward to it.

@Terminator95: There’s no such thing as “PC.” There’s an infinite variety of PCs, from several hundred dollar pieces of junk that would be eaten alive by the Xbox One X, to multi-thousand dollar rigs that can run pretty much anything at the moment at high FPS and high resolution, but which cost many multiples of the price of the “X.”

So knock off the stupid “PC crushes everything” idiocy.

@onehitta323: You must have the slowest internet connection in existence, seeing how your “preorder canceled” comment just arrived from November 6th or whenever.

Nice try.

@Thanatos2k: Was that a feeble attempt at an answer or something?

I have both a highly-capable PC and an Xbox One X, so I know what I’m talking about. Your “response” was merely another question. FYI: Answering a question with a question is nothing more than an attempt to avoid the original question. How about sharing more of your “insight?”

@lostn: Better? - slightly depending upon how much money you want to spend - Crush? - absolutely not. See above for everything else wrong with the PC argument.

@nyran125tk: I think the business model from here on out will be that the latest greatest console tech, e.g., the Xbox One X, will initially occupy the top of the line, will be aimed primarily at enthusiasts, and will offer enhancements to existing games for a premium price. However, over time premium consoles like the X1X will naturally drift downward in the lineup as they are replaced at the top by even more capable hardware, and at that point the X1X’s of the world WILL get software designed to fully exploit their capabilities, while the new top of the line units merely enhance those games further.

I think this is a good thing. It steadily moves the baseline capability of the hardware upward over time, while providing access to enhanced capabilities, for those who value that, earlier than would have otherwise occurred in the old, static “hardware generation” model.

This new model provides something for everyone. I like it.

Not that this dose of common sense will do anything, of course, to stop the PC supremacists and the PlayStation defenders from trying to dump on the Xbox One X. It’s odd to me that those who shout the loudest about their hardware choice being superior also tend to be those who spend the most time trying to run down others’ choices, when one would think they would instead want to spend as much time as possible with their “master race” PCs or their “better exclusives” on their PlayStations.

I just don’t get that. But then, I’m not immaturely obsessed with which plastic box someone else chooses to purchase.
