@megakick The "shortcuts" in the game is a result of a an unintended glitch, to the point where people would only choose certain tracks just to boost their score. It had to be taken out.
Twitter is most definitely a source for news. I use it all the time for industry-related news. People within the industry use Twitter to announce things. Notch is just pissed because his words are being used against him. I've said this before, but I'll say it again: having a successful game doesn't mean you can start running your mouth and think that it's OK or that everyone will agree with you because you're hot ****. You could very well shoot yourself in the foot, like Jenova Chen.
As much as I love the indie dev scene (of which I'm a part of), the arrogance from these devs have to stop. It started with Jonathan Blow, and now it's continuing with Jenova. They make one successful game and suddenly they think they can say whatever they want.
@PixelAddict: I don't think that's a disappointing number at all. I don't know what kind of numbers Namco was expecting, but they are clearly happy with the results.
