"Mobile gaming is a highly competitive industry, and long ago we recognized the need for something that is compelling and unique to rise above the noise, while also rewarding players for their time spent in the games,"
Translation:
We realized that people were spending ridiculous amounts of cash in unregulated gambling (cell phone games) and we decided that since we are now all about money, we should use our brand to leech some of that money before regulations appear.
veryone wants in to the gambling loophole that is cell phone games where you can hire 2 teenagers, whip up a crappy game and add tons of unethical and unregulated gambling elements to it to bleed the idiots dry of their credit card's balances.
I have mixed feelings on this but try to keep a level head approach.
On one hand, I feel like skill should be the main factor in hiring but its quite possible that skill was overlooked in favor of skin color in the past which lead to the current result.
On the other hand, when you think long term, by "forcing" or "injecting" minorities into the various careers, you might deal with short term losses (Sometimes stuck with someone not as competent as who you really wanted, but couldnt hire) but long term, it means these people are in positions to earn good wages, move out of the "hoods" and into suburbs. It leads to exposure, it leads to better education for their kids and it leads to a more diverse and exposed society.
Its hard to fight racism with a town full of white folks who never lived next to a black person. And if you dont give good jobs to minorities, you cant expect for them to move up in the white neighborhoods. And yes, I 100% expect that black folks who live in those more poor areas are racist towards white folks, but that, also will dissipate over time as they move out from that "gang" and start enjoying success and start co-living with white people.
We already made great progress in many regions of Canada this way and when I look at how things are in the states, its no wonder there are so many issues. Its really flagrant from an outsider point of view. It feels like a good large chunk of the US has stopped evolution like 50 years + ago.
Most of those complaining about "they are stealing our jobs" are the lazy losers loud mouths who want everything spoonfed to them and who cant take accountability for their own failures. Not many successful white folks who think this way because they put in the work to get where they belong.
I don't understand why that a lot of MMOs always have cheap looking graphics for PC.
Mass appeal regardless of PC specs and also because the more people you have on screen at once the more demanding so you cant have full blown graphics with 40 players casting spells all at once (raids, etc.)
