Continuing to remain vague isn't helping EA, or Bioware's case. And, this far after release and no DLC announcement? It's not coming. They might as well just confirm it.
The game was great, but they may have set their sights a little high. In any case, it certainly revitalized my interest in the series. I'll buy the next one, when that comes out thanks to RE7's quality and I know there are a lot of people like me.
@gameroutlawzz: I hear that. Not every new feature has been bad, though. To say anything is an 'evolution' in gaming is stretching it. There's just a different choice in design. Unless we're talking about player controlled camera perspectives in platform era. That was DEFINITELY an evolution.
@7tizz: Does it add to the formula? Sure. Does it invalidate any mechanics that came before it? No. Does it mean every game of the type moving forward needs more hose mechanics? No. Fun is fun. Nostalgia only goes so far. If a game isn't fun, it isn't played. There's no 'evolution' there.
I love all the pretentious 'gaming has evolved' talk. If that were the case, people would never go back to play any of the older games in their library. What was fun then is fun now. Your personal tastes may have changed, but gaming hasn't 'evolved'.
