no,in no way is hunting for game the equivalent of taking a human life for no reason. people arent animals. and one reason I say this is that the population of animals that hunters hunt would increase to the point of overpopulation, the animals would use all their resources and starve to death. they would start to populate cities,streets and would come into constant contact of cars and stupid people.

a life is a life, whether if its a dog, human, deer, bear whatever... killing any being with no remorse or reason is inhumane and uncanny. People should be ashamed of themselves for killing without reason. I mean survival is one thing but killing for no reason is just wrong. and since when has the deer population been a threat to the earths resources?
No. A life between a misquito and a man is no competition. and its not killing without remourse or cause, its doing it for population control, its doing it because our ancestors did it. uh,,,since people stopped hunting them, they used to have much stricter hunting license and in the years that do the deer population greatly increases. no rocket science there. its not rare to find them searching peoples yards for food, then it moves to the streets, where they get hit by cars.
Im sorry sir but the human race has clearly proven to us that they cant handle fire arms responsibly. I mean its fine for people to have a handgun in their house for protection, and maybe a rifle for hunting(and by hunting I mean for SURVIAL not just for game). However you have gangs, you have robberies, you have hunters killing for game(which is the equivalent of taking a human life for no reason) and you have the military playing with firearms to see how many lives they can take with a single shot. So because humans let there obsession with guns go out of hand I think the reputation guns have gotten is pretty well deserving. sparkypants

Your also not going to see a psychopath bust down the door and come in wielding a hammer.... Sure a hammer can be used to kill, anything can. But is it as deadly as 9mm handgun with 15 rounds, each round capable of taking a life? Certainly not. The whole argument is stupid.

A hammer could be used as a lethal weapon
But it is a tool used to build things, a gun is a tool designed to shoot at living things, target practice is just there for the meantime.

Its people who sell guns to criminals at garage sales and paper adds and flea markets thats wrong. nothing wrong with using them the right way,especially because they can be used for hunting, which is sometimes the only way to get food in a poor family.
"I hope they serve beer in hell" by Tucker Max is good if you like more modern,entertaining stuff "The zombie survival guide by max brooks aswell, its topic is in the title if you like more classic stuff "one flew over the cuckoos nest" is a great book, some other great classics like a clockwork orange, atlas shruged and anything by william faulkner is an amazing read
