Stadia gets its own section now, but not the Oculus Quest? Weaksauce, Gamespot. As usual, VR gets the shaft here. I guess it's back to UploadVR and Roadtovr.
And... smart phone sales will continue to fall. The smartphone form factor has peaked in design. What more can you do with it? Make it thinner? Add better cameras? Make it foldable? Oooo, I know. Make it transparent? It's all gimmicks from here on out.
The next step is Mixed Reality headsets. They are in their infancy now, but they are developing quickly and will eventually replace the declining smartphone market.
@og_gamerzzz: The perception you have does not fit the facts. If Nintendo is dying, then why did the Switch sell 17 milllion units in a year? The Switch is on course to outsell the Xbox One in another year. Hardly symptomatic of a company that is on it's death bed.
@Yams1980: That is a very good point. Releasing the updates for free is a show of good faith; they didn't just take the money and run like so many accused them of doing after release. One can easily tell that this game is Hello Games baby and they want to make it the game they envisioned.
@metsuri: The new balances to the game give it more nuance. Find a habitable base and hire a builder and you will be able to mine what ever you want in due time.
To anyone dogging the game, I ask: have you played the updates? They improve the game in a lot of ways. If the last two are any indication, then this new update will improve it even more.
Yes, the original version of the game fell short, but these updates have been edging it closer to the original vision. This new update will no doubt do the same.
