Skullflower , i think it really comes down to the Multiplayer dragging Halo 3 up .... Bioshock is quite a short game and doesn't have the saving grace of a longer life through co-op and multiplayer with the new "forge" features.
well done gamespot .. the only 480p 360 shot is of a flag ..... shame i'm not getting Vista .. would be fun to play Halo 2 agian looking crisp .. but it's still not next gen ... i've seen much better Pc games and can't see any reason why this needs to be DX10 and vista exclusive. I think Duke Nukem forever will be out before i get vista :) ok .. maybe not that long !!
wow .. on the gamespot poll almost everyone thinks it's anti sony bias .... sounds like there are a lot of sony fanboys .. no matter how much sony tries to rip them off they beg for more. Personally i think you'd have to be a fool to puy a PS3 now .. give it a year and it's a completely differeent story .. but for now it's not worth even close to the asking price !
I love the sony fanboys saying .... oh gamespot is anti sony .. gamespot is anti sony .... i seem to remember the staffers complaining long and hard that the 360 didn't support Psychonauts , that it doesn't support strangers wrath .... hell every update that has come along the gamespot article has mentioned at least 3 that NEED to be put on the list. Sony has made BIG noise about the backwards compatability and it seems ( until we know different) that they are going forward with a half baked emulation software package because they are in desperate need of money. People are right i can count on my hand the number of PS1 games i played on my PS2 ... but then that's because i came to the party later in the PS2's life .. i had a dreamcast with better games than the initial batch of PS2 games .. similar to the situation with the 360 now .. less powerful sustem with better games. But Sony are looking at the long game and i think MS are too .. someone at Microsoft needs to get a new BC chart out and quick to rain on the sony parade of bad PR. This is all a numbers game .. Sony is thinking that this change will cost the a few hundred sales and over time they can make it up ... personally i think they are up against it fighting the 360 and Wii in the US and europe .. both with strong sales and followings ... and fighting the Wii in Japan.
Well the Ps3 sounds impressive .. but the games don't insire me yet .... given the choice it'd buy a 360 now and then a PS3 when it starts to get the better games ... either that or give the Wii a try ... curiosity will get the benefit of most gamers. my other concern is after buying a Ps3 how long till my mind starts telling me " these games will look sooo much better in 1080p .. buy yourself a sony Bravia LCD !!" Anyway .. what i'm basically saying is you would be mad to not want a PS3 .. it will be the most powerful console on the market ... but you'd also be mad to want one now !!
