ok so in everycase the games are better and smoother on the 360 .. but in terms of graphics you would never notice .. so it really come down to the tearing problems on ps3 due to lack of V-sync ... but who cares .. these Vs. articles just show how we are mostly past the days of shoddy PS3 ports and we now get games that are to all intents and purposes identicle on each console. ... result .. everyone wins !!
Dreamcast : It was unfortunate proof of how the videogames market had moved on ... where Hype had taken over. Where the PS2 with fewer games and much lower quality games in content and not visually any better was picked up in favour of a console with proven qualities and a library of quality games people believed the PS2 was going to be something much more than the DC and stayed away Third partys were affraid of another failure and Sega were broke however it's legacy was felt by the PS3 many gamers didn't believe the hype about the PS3 ( and rightly so ) after being burnt by the PS2's claims. however i think that the DC was made a fond memory because it died so young .. as the PS2 got older it's games got better and bigger and i doubt the DC would have been pushed too much further in it's abilities.
tell you what , if the PC couldn't look better it would be a crime .. your talking about going up against hardware that is 3 years old now if you've got money to burn the PC should always kick consoles to touch
I think this shows how POINTLESS the system wars are ... in the vast majority of games unless you run them side by side you can't see a difference. so it basically comes down to personal choice at the end of the day , buy whatever console floats your boat and you'll be happy ! now why exclude the Wii from this dust up .. i want to see visual comparisons between Wii , ps3 and 360 !! :)
lol .. i love these "8800GTX is still king" "my card is the best" comments ... so it's true on Call of duty .. but nothing else !! all this really shows is if you want to play games don't buy vista !!
I would happily vote for someone introducing an R18+ even if it meant tougher penaltys for sale / distribution to minors. I'm in favour of all the measures in the world to prevent kids from palying inappropriate games and would even ( at the age of 33 ) happily produce ID anytime i wished to buy a game , i'll happily have a "v chip" in my consoles that prevent anyone under 18 playing the game. I don't care about controls , I just want the freedom to play games !
generalmyke74 , actually that's really down to the fact that HD tvs are rubbish at SD content ... a good CRT SD set will always look better for SD content. However .. i get your point .. i just don't think Xbox level games look "crap" just yet .. there are still lots of good looking games on the old gen PS1 and N64 games .. now they look crap ... and i'm sure another couple of years down the line i'll think the same about xbox
you know it's a shame because Halo 3 still looks better than Resistance FOM , still looks better than Perfect dark or Call of duty or Medal of honour .... i think the problem is that the Xbox was no slouch when it came to graphics so most games are just high res versions of the previous games ... but High res still looks better and it's not like Halo 3 is ugly ! At the end of the game it's really down to gameplay .. graphics are good and all but gameplay is king
