I would agree with you re: Forza 4 visually better and as a game better than GT

However Skyrim is MF and differences in visuals are negligable when playing

Gears 3 .. well it's gears 2 with colour ... very nice looking game but not all that

my visually stunning list would go Forza 4 , rayman origins , uncharted 3

I'm very glad that the 360 won this generation of HD consoles ( and any sony fan is fooling themselves if they think otherwise ) because it means sony have to really up their game next gen and that is something to look forward to.

I actually think that the future of the 360 is a little dark and there is no doubt that the PS3 will erode some if not all of the 360's lead over the next 18 months.

But so what at 33 million units likely to be over 40 million by the end of it's life cycle the 360 is a sucess and has cemented the xbox brand into the videogame arena.

Fanboys can crow all they want but the sucess of the 360 isn't the end of the playstation .. and the resurgence of the Ps3 isn't going to kill off the xbox.

I doubt we would have the Wii if the GC had been a sucess ...

I think that the more people that play quality games the better .. and everyone ... EVERYONE should have bought a GC to play Resident Evil 4 .. much better than the PS2 version.

but Idon't think the popularity of a console effects my vision of it ... i see the good and the bad in all consoles

Well , personally i think the cost needs to come down .. as more and more people buy PS3's surely people like me that will buy both machines will just not pay for live and settle for PSN .. and once i do that i'll start to get games on PS3 over the 360 simply so i can play multiplayer ...

if anything MS needs to be thinking about penetration levels and wonder if the cost of live is going to do more harm than good.

I don't see the point is skippin a generation completely .. either get one now or wait for the next price drop and get one then.

I'm in two minds myself ... i'm very tempted to get one this christmas if the bundles are hot

I think the rumours were true about PD checking out Forza at E3.

I'm thinking they saw how good this game was and thought they needed an extra 6 months to come up to scratch !

I think it's funny that all the fanboys will talk about graphics and how it's not as good looking as GT .. Pah .. it's gameplay that counts and it's not like it's a bad looking game.

Both XBLA and PSN have some great 2d games ... i think XBLA edges it ... but there are some good 2d's on Wii

I love the way people think that the PS3 in Japan will make such a difference to the overall sales with the release of FF13 when it gets weekly sales of 35k

that's 1.5mil in a year ! and that's post slim release.

I think the race to 50 mil will be interesting ... and firmly dependant on the sucess of natal. I know i for one will buy my second 360 if Natal is keenly priced simply becauses by then my 360 will be 3 yrs old and when it breaks down it would need replacing .. but then again i'll also have a PS3 by then too.

I'm not a fanboy I just despise Microsoft. I didn't realize that I should welcome a gigantic monolithic software magnate with open arms and allow them to dominate two industries with the biggest impact on the videogame industry. No, I hate Microsoft and I feel I should be allowed to wear that on my sleeve. By the way, there's nothing wrong with the Xbox 360 as far as being a bad platform (it's certainly not a failbox 360), but the Xbox wasn't all that fantastic. Save a few good RPGs and shooters plus Ninja Gaiden it really wasn't the best platform on the market and totally paled in comparison to the Playstation 2. The Playstation 2 was lightbeers ahead of the Xbox and thus I should have seen Oddworld on the platform.Brownesque

... the war is over and the PS2 won .. so you can finally admit that the Xbox was just far more powerful and had a great library of games. It was in fact the best system on the market being the most powerful , having the most features and having the best game in every Genre the exception being platformers ( although for my money the best platform game is PoP Sands of time but that is a different debate ).

It is a crime against gaming that Strangers Wrath isn't playable on Next gen machines .. i hope a PC version on steam is possible and it would be a great buy for any gamer as it is head and shoulders the greatest oddworld game.
