Mid-mission checkpoints...That would be pretty lame IMO, if Rockstar sticks to the GTA formula then that would render the hospitals and prisons useless. It would also force a more linear gameplay ****on those that would rather have it more open. The penalty for dying in an open world game is less than in a traditional game, as you can usually always choose to do other things after you die.

I kinda hated having to restart the mission by first driving to go get the mission details then driving again to the mission location. It was a pain in the *** to be honest.

inFAMOUS has a mid mission checkpoint system and it works pretty well.

Chinatown Wars has something similar. If part of the mission is just driving, it lets you skip it on repeat attempts, which I think is about fair. It doesn't let you skip the real stuff, just the extraneous story sequences.

Seeing how awesome this game is turning out though makes me feel bad about not playing the first. If I didn't just preorder Infamous and Bionic Commando off Amazon, I would totally get Red Dead Revolver right now.

Red Dead Revolver has a different main character and a seemingly unrelated story, it also apparently plays nothing like Redemption with its open world, dark, realistic approach.

[QUOTE="rragnaar"][QUOTE="SteelAttack"]I am so in love with the way this game is turning out. It could end up being one of the finest western experiences in entertainment. Lighting in videogames seems to have been created with a western sunset in mind. S0lidSnake

Agreed. This is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated games of the year.

Same here.

Let's just hope this game has mid mission checkpoints. As I recall, GTA4 didn't have that.

Man there were a lot of things I saw that I liked, but almost as much that I didn't.

I like that Bioshock 2 will finally have water ridden levels, I like that the Little Sister to Big Daddy relationship is more consistent with how it played it out with the NPCS, I like that traps will play a much more imporant part of the game, and I love the graphics.

I don't like that the game seems even more action oriented in the first, with the sense of seclusion and adventure seemingly taking a hit. I don't really like the Big Sister characters; their inclusion seems lame and and a bit forced. Finally I'm a bit worried about the game's difficulty, the first was already kind of easy even on the harder difficulties and Bioshock 2 looks to be even easier.

Yeah it has edged out Mafia 2 for my most anticipated game of the year...I really hope they bring over the awesome multiplayer mode from the first game, but that probably won't happen.

Bugatti Veryron duh, I can't believe this is even still a question

The car can hit 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, 100 mph in 5.5 seconds, and 150 mph in 9.8 seconds. Getting to 200 mph takes 18.3 seconds, and 250 mph takes 42.3 seconds.

A special key is required to "unlock" the Veyron's top speed of 250+ mph. The car is then lowered to just 3.5 inches from the ground. A hydraulic spoiler extends at speed, and it can also serve as an air brake.

The Veyron weighs a hulking 4,160 lbs, but even its harshest critics admit its handling is surprisingly sharp. Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1 was very skeptical of the Veyron during its development, but after driving the finished car, he conceded it is a "huge achievement."

While I'd agree that Slumdog Millionaire featured a pretty lackluster plot hardly anyone is commenting on its beautiful cinematography...Something that has made movies like Citizen Kane and City of God classics, though those are much much better films.

So do you guys now think that this automatically makes Eurogamer the worst review publication on the web?

Apparantly, Eurogamer will have one of their own PC editors (founding editor of Rock, Paper, Shotgun) review Darkfall Online as well.

UpInFlames

I wonder if the score will improve at all, my spidey sense is telling me no.

That can't be Soulja Boy, having heard his Braid review, I'm assuming the guy can't spell. Its probably some kid posing as Soulja Boy.
