[QUOTE="ASK_Story"]I was surprised it was made by the Sly team. They're quite versatile and talented development team, aren't they.AtomicTangerine

I think there are a whole bunch of first-party devs who we just end up thinking are the "franchise X" guys, and this game shows that sometimes it is better to not have the team do a sequel. Like Retro for example, Nintendo just needs to let them do their own thing instead of making a new Metroid game, and I can't wait to see what Bungie does that ISN'T Halo related.

Oh you guys are saying good things, whew, I thought I was going to have to play Sly defense force again...Probably my favorite platforming series of all time next, well unless you count Jet Grind Radio.

Every game gets good or bad reviews :P...Bionic Commando's review scores have been fairly consistent (especially if you convert Edge's 6 to a 7 or 8 for other publications), everyone seems to state that it is a decent game with a few major flaws that keep it from really being good.

No you should get Fallout 3 or Sacred 2 if you really desire a medieval setting.

It wouldn't be a cult classic if no one else liked it ;)...Not that I do.

Hmm...I will reserve my judgment until E3 comes out and sheds light on just how legit this list is. As Solidsnake said you will be basically win the internets if you can somehow get a picture of this supposed list.

Wow I never would have thought that Godfather II would be first on that list, especially given that its review scores have been less than stellar.

[QUOTE="HiResDes"]

If there is one publication that I really don't trust when it comes to reviews it would undoubtedly be gameinformer followed by gamepro.

Iceman8012

I trust their reviews. They tend to see the good games out there and point out obvious flaws of overrated games.

A six year old could do that, pretty much every game that GameInformer reviews is a good 7.0 or above game, I've rarely seen them rate anything under a six...And most of the times they reviews consist of pointing out the obvious rather than offering any sort of insight.

WHo puts the numbers in the title that ruins part of the excitement :P

To be fair everyone flopped, so much that the PS3's 127k doesn't seem so bad.

[QUOTE="Paladin_King"]2. Um...how can you tell that it's more action oriented? The dev showed what he wanted to show (some triggered scenes and how the action worked), and action gets mainstream gamers excited, so he showed that. That said, he still did show that cool underwater scene, which didn't have a single enemy in sight. I don't believe there's very much right now to prove your point here. AT least, not in this video.rragnaar

I pretty much agree here. We haven't seen that much of the game, and from the little we've seen, there was plenty of isolation. It isn't like 2K is going to show off 9 minutes of gameplay where you just wander around by yourself with no conflict. That isn't how you get most people excited for a game.

The word seems is pretty good indicator that I'm well aware that I'm making assumptions, however when a dev chooses to showcase certain things in a gameplay video, then it is obvious that they value those things higher than others.
