@Hobbes444

Well call me a 12-year old kid then! (I'm 41 by the way but it's still cool) :)

PS4 is screwed. The next big step is cross-platform gaming and with the Windows 8 pad and phone coming out you will be able to pick up and drop off games on PC, phone or pad and take them with you. What's Sony going to do to counter that? Even Apple have initiated Apple Game Center to allow the same thing on iPad, iPhone, Apple TV and Nintendo will as usual have cross-play between Wii U and DS and the new controller will allow you to take a pad-like experience mobile with you. Sony are already way behind the curve and could be too far to catch up this time. The next console could be the death knell for the Playstation, even if they do all the things suggested in this article.

Expect the next Xbox to integrate seamlessly with the Windows 8 tablet using a Windows marketplace-like account to allow you to pause games on the Xbox and pick them up on the Windows 8 pad. The one change I would make would be to finally allow the transfer of my video and music library from Media Center on my PC directly to my next Xbox. Tie that in with Netflix, MLB.tv and NHL Game Center and I'm good to go. Goodbye set top box and stereo, the Xbox is my go-to media center.

@psuedospike I think it was just the way it was described compared to the demo that was shown that invoked Tom's ire. You're right it's not the first game to make these sort of claims but maybe it was the blatancy of the disconnect that made it objectionable. Or maybe it was just a straw that broke the camel's back situation and it was a case of enough is enough. He does have a bit of a point but he has also kind of laboured it in the interview.

Interesting. I don't think Tom had a problem with the game per se but with the marketing people who are claiming it is an authentic experience. The situations, hardware, locations etc might all be authentic but the experience isn't so it is disingenuous to call the experience authentic. On the other hand Greg is defending his game and his approach from a perceived attack but the attack isn't really on the game, there are plenty more games like this out there, but on the marketing spiel so maybe the wrong guy is sitting there defending himself. It should be the marketing exec who should be explaining how he arrives at his idea of 'authenticity' but then we all know marketing is a job for people who weren't bright enough to get real qualifications in college so that would be a short discussion. :)

@Ravenlore_basic .....not to mention it doesn't run on Android.... I think you're thinking of the Experia Play? Otherwise does anybody else wish that they wouldn't announce these things when the release is soooo far away? I'm all depressed just thinking about the wait. I'd love to know why it's not a phone too though. If it has 3G then why not? That would really wipe out the iPhone for good.....

Personally I have never found a better mouse for FPS's than the old, wired, Intellimouse Optical. The reason is the additional button on either side of the mouse instead of both on the same side. This gives the most realistic and intuitive character movement in a FPS while leaving a hand completely free for the keyboard while you strafe left and right and turn all with one hand. If someone could bring out a mouse with high-end responsiveness and accuracy with this button configuration I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Are you listening hardware makers????!!!

You HAVE to put Daxter in there for PSP. It's the funniest and funnest platformer in years and the fact it's portable only makes it better. Watching an Ottsel do Neo is classic. It's actually worth buying a PSP for it's so good.
