@TheSorrow66666 @GrumpyMcNasty Really, where? A movie is not a service either.

@TheSorrow66666 @GrumpyMcNasty It's a licence to enjoy the product, same thing.

Ok, some interesting and moronic answers to my question but it's plainly obvious that people in general believe that you can do what you like with what you own. So, here's a comparison. You go to the the movies. You buy a ticket. You watch the movie. It's rubbish so you go outside and sell your ticket to somebody standing in the queue. The movie theatre refuses them entry because there is somebody there checking tickets. Would you or the other person who bought the ticket be upset? It was your ticket, you could do what you like with it right? Right. However, it does not follow that the manufacturers, distributors or vendors have to honor the same ticket twice. Caveat emptor I guess.

@Saketume @GrumpyMcNasty @Vidpci Nobody makes them, they come from the earth. Silly argument.

@GOGOHeadray @GrumpyMcNasty @Vidpci Ok, so then you should be able to get the 1c the medium costs. What about the rest?

@TheSorrow66666 @GrumpyMcNasty @Vidpci And if you accept the licence agreement on installation that says they retain the rights to the game and you cannot resell it? Do you then hold good to that?

@Vidpci @GrumpyMcNasty Ok, closer to a reasonable argument but we are talking about intellectual property and licences, not physical items and it is not just bad games that are re-sold but good ones when they are finished with.

@The_Dragon_Born @GrumpyMcNasty So do some pirates. They just then make it available to download. They don't even necessarily make money off it. What right do you have to make money off something you had no hand in making?

Can somebody here who is raging against the banning of reselling used games please explain what they see as the difference between selling on a used game and outright piracy? It is illegal to download a game for free from a website and yet you all consider it ok to pay somebody other than the gamer maker for a copy? I would love somebody to explain the difference between used game sellers and pirates.

I can't understand how they can get the first game (AvP) so right and everything since so wrong. AvP was fantastic in its time-immersive, disturbing, scary - brilliant. Everything since in this universe has been rubbish. Big disappointment, there's so much rich universe there to draw from, there's no excuse for this laziness.
