@Tigerbite2 I get your subtle point, but they haven't actually shown how it handles existing content. All they've talked about is Live content.

@Mega_Loser @GrumpyMcNasty Sorry, my bad. I lost sight of the insanity.

I find it worrying that there is still no word on how Xbox One will handle users' existing digital content. Everyone these days has a library of music and movies either on a home server or media devices. If Microsoft told us that we could watch and listen to all of these or use it as a media center visible to other DLNA devices as well as TV, Blu-ray and gaming then I would be sold and $500 would be worth it. Until then I will stay away as I suspect that they will only make content bought from Xbox Live available, which would be a massive fail in my opinion. Media Center on Xbox 360 was an afterthought, I would have expected it to be a major element of Xbox One but there's been not a word. Also for those 'game consoles should be about games' people there's nothing that says that having additional functionality in any way reduces its ability to run the best games. Your smartphone still makes phone calls doesn't it?

@mastermetal777 The hardware is the same. 8 cores, 8Gb RAM, 500Gb HDD. The relative response time and fps rate will come down to OS's and at the moment the Xbox One tiered architecture has the high ground. Only post-release benchmarking will show the real winner and even then it will probably vary from game to game and be one or two frames so all you fanboys from both sides who are claiming 'victory' are delusional at best.

@dastardlyhawk I didn't say anything of the sort. I am simply pointing out that given the amount of negative feedback to the Kinect and it's successor from Sony fanboys since the Xbox One reveal I find it ironic that Sony should have gone with the same design and there's not a single comment berating it. There appears to be no significant technical difference between the two systems, the games will largely be the same and the DRM will be driven by studios, not console makers and yet both sides are claiming victory in a war that doesn't exist. I find you all a little sad to be honest.

Oh look, a Kinect. Way to steal tech Sony. Wonder what all the anti-Kinect Sony fanboys will say now?

@Krogan_Ballet Try picking up a newspaper any day, you'll find this and worse. The media are so desperate for stories to fill column inches that the will print anything they can get and grammar and editing seems to be gone out the window.

@meatz666 Actually either would suffice (and it matters not whether you refer to the world or the name given the context) but the real problems are using both in one sentence and ending said sentence in a preposition.

@meatz666 The word "Nosgoth" - the name of the world in which the franchise was set - appeared on the database of Steam, Valve's digital distribution tool.

See the difference?

"which was the name of the world where the franchise was set in".

Really? Is this what journalism has come to? Is somebody paying this illiterate imbecile to write articles? Are there no editors on this site with at least a beginner's grasp of the English language and its grammatical forms? Does anybody even read these pieces of drivel before they are published?

Are there any standards left in the media?
