[QUOTE="Firelore29"][QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"][QUOTE="Firelore29"]I wouldn't count on that. The article says that 3.5 million BlueRay players have been sold to date and 3 million of those were PS3's. Those numbers have to be a bit old but the point is that the firm majoirty of BlueRay players are PS3's.

My over-arching point is who cares? Why act like this is God's gift to movies, when it's far from a new feature for HD movies? It's just new to Blu-Ray. If you want to see how it works, go see Transformers on HD DVD. You can download a few things. Big whoop.
Seriously...far from a "ZOMGBBQIT'SOVAH" feature. Blu-Ray is simply catching up with features the competition has had available for over a year.
Ok I'm Joe Consumer and I walk into a Best Buy and ask the clerk what BlueRay player to buy. He says "Well you could get this nice Sony player for $299. It works well and makes pretty pictures. Your other option is to get a PS3. It's pretty neat because a number of the BlueRay dics coming out allow you to download and view bonus content! Your kids can play PS3 games on it also. It's 100 dollars more."
Honestly which one would you buy? I think most people would upgrade.
I think most would have a $200 budget for such extravagancies. Especially in today's American economy.
Did you buy an HD-DVD player? Because you look like your mad at Blu-Ray for winning at the moment.
