Oh man I have so many fond memories playing Sonic on that thing. I also had the adapter to play Master System games on it.

My Game Gear finally died on me over summer '07 though :(

is your sig supposed to be funny?

Uh.

Well, yeah I guess so.

It was sort of a "you had to be there" thing - it's related to this thread:

Why, do you write for them or something?

I'm going to say that if you really need a fast drive, just get a WD Raptor (10k RPM drives, if you don't know). I don't think it matters much if a SSD would be faster; a 10k drive is already so fast that anything else is overkill (mine'll load a large game like Crysis in no time at all).

Also, despite RayvinAzn's ridiculous "lolpwnd" attitude in the post, I would have to agree that even if they did make 2.5" 10k drives, they wouldn't be economical as far as heat and power are concerned.

LOL there are so many of you noobs here...

What game takes more skill than halo 3 for the xbox 360? NONE - Call of Duty 4 is INCREDIBLY easy. Take my word for it, I have a 2.72 k/d in COD 4 at rank 48 in 2nd prestige (so u cant say im playing noobs). All COD 4 is is using UAV to know where enemy is, go behind them, and shoot them with the no recoil 50 round P90.

Halo requires real aim, I know for a fact that all of you noobs bashing halo are god awful at it. I can honestly say I own in 95% of the games I play COD 4, whereas my k/d in h3 is only 2.14 and I have a really hard time doing that.

MetacriticPark

I don't deny that the base shooting in Halo requires skill, but I still hate playing it multiplayer in a competitive setting.

The main problem is that Halo has a naturally slower pacing than something like CoD, and for some reason to compensate Bungie makes these maps that place you in a tiny area in close proximity with explosives to accelerate the killing process. Not only does this cause an infuriating number of deaths unless you're some kind of Halo god, but it screams bad game design (listen to the Valve commentaries in TF2; they explain this pretty well).

Long story short, I can see why a lot of people who aren't good at Halo would feel cheated when they get killed, and claim that it's all luck and no skill.

EDIT: jmdude, did you even own a DC? Thing was phenominal when it came out - it was just sort of stuck between two generations and never found an audience.

As much as I loved it when it came out,

in retrospect I would have to nominate the Sega CD.

I still love Sewer Shark though, for reasons incomprehensible to me.

[QUOTE="Ghardon"]

[QUOTE="aaron6581230"]technically, wouldn't developers lose earnings as they are giving away the games for free?Udsen

Well, SCEA is already losing a ton of money on each console sold - at least a pack-in might help them sell more units and by extension more games/accessories.

But I still think the main thing Sony needs more of is new (exclusive) games. That ought to sell more PS3s.

Uh, Sony is pulling a profit..

http://www.gamespot.com/news/6185395.html

"a significant decrease in the operating losses of the PS3 business as a result of successful PS3 hardware cost reductions."

Okay, I missed this story.

But they had been in the red for months before this, am I right about that part?

And I stand by my "needz moar exclusives" statement.

You really don't know how to read do you? He or she said he will get God of War 2

Yes, actually but there's nothing wrong with the recommendation. As for the rest of the post: Troll harder.

Shadow of the Collossus is incredible. Black's merely okay - it's fun enough the first time through and it's probably cheap enough nowadays that it would be worth getting.

First off don't waste money on strategy guides.

Second you have to realise that everyone likes different games. I really enjoyed ME and I'm pretty sure lots of other people did too.

I'm on my third playthrough, which I'm pretty sure makes me a tool.

Like, officially. There's a form to fill out and everything.
