I cant give you a link, but what I can tell you is this;

The Wii U is compatible with most external hard drives and flash drives (though Nintendo says you should go with hard drives). To ensure that you get the best memory storage possibly, Nintendo reccomends HDDs that are USB 2.0 (though 3.0 will work, but Nintendo says that they cant ganruntie that the hard drive will work properly) that are powered via double usb or by an outlet in the wall.

I think its worth it. But thats just my 2 cents.

Care to elaborate?

Well...

  • Miiverse is pretty awesome. Its like a huge round up of a twitter like forum that is dedicated to every single game and application. And there are so many creative and amusing people on there. Its where from what i've seen is a good source to get feed back from gamers who have actually played the game that they are talking about (Miiverse tells you if they have actually played it). You can even take in game screen shots of whatever game your playing and post them on Miiverse, you can also like (on Miiverse its called "yeah") and reply to things that people post. Its also moderated so its pretty safe for kids and from what I've seen, I havent seen anything like penises or boobs so you arent going to see much if any of that. You can also search and add people through Miiverse. Its pretty awesome really and according to the Iwata ask on it, its pretty easy to update and improve since it is mostly server and not client.
  • The Internet Browser, its fast, its way faster than the Wii's, DSi's, 3DS's web browser and from what i hear its faster than the PS3's and 360's. It has no trouble loading detailed images that are larger than your tv (without any zoom), no trouble loading nice detailed gifs with alot of frames. Youtube also works perfectly, which makes me question why there is going to be a youtube app. My favorite feature of the broswer so far is being able to load up a youtube video, keep the video playing on your tv screen and continue browsing the web on the controller without slowing down the video. I also really like it how this broswer has tabs.
  • Netflix, if you live in America of course. I dont really need to say much about this, but from what I've used of it so far it works better than the Wii verson and loads pretty quickly. I like its interface better than the PC verson too. And its pretty awesome being able to watch the movies on the controller if you want to, the best part about that is despite the screen not being hd, the movies dont look downgraded when being displayed on the controller's screen.
  • Besides Netflix, there is Hulu Plus (which was just released today) which I have never used since Im not subbed to Hulu, Amazon Video (soon to be available), and a Youtube app (also coming soon).
  • This currently isnt available, but Nintendo TVii will controll all the video/ movie watching apps I listed above (not sure about youtube though) and from the demos and people who tried it, it seems like this is going to be very useful and that it works well.
  • I'd argue that the TV remote function of controller is enough to make the system worth it, seeing how not only can it turn the tv on and off as well as controll the volume, but it can also controll your cable box if you have paid television.
  • The eshop is shaping up very well, almost all of the retail games are available for download off of it, and if what the Trine 2 devs said is anything to go by, we can expect download any games to be considerably cheaper than retail games, and you can expect alot of indie games on the eshop too.

As for games, I havent had a chance to try out the games really since my brother has been hogging it ever since launch.

Usb flash drives would take up the least amount of room, and they should work, but despite this Nintendo reccomends against it. The better question is what exactly do you plan to do with your Wii U, are you going to be digital only? Or are you going be mostly retail? or half and half? If mostly retail, then you shouldnt need a hard drive larger than 300 gigs I would think. If half and half then 500 or 600 should do you well unless your digital purchases are the digial versons of retail games which can go anywhere from 10 gigs to currently 25 (though I dont think any game is that large within the launch titles). If you go all digital then I would reccommend a 1 tb or 2 tb drive. It never hurts to have more than what you need. Better than not having enough.

Im sorry but I dont really know of what brands to reccomend since when my 32 gigs run out I'll be buying my first HDD too.

I believe its the stylus making that noise. Since it isnt a super tight fit, it rattles when the controller moves.

3 times now... I'll just not play it for the rest of the night. I also left it unplugged longer than before, so hopefully that'll help. Nintendo has at least acknowledged the problem, so perhaps a real fix is incoming.

If not, I have a 2nd system on its way in the mail  At least it's still under warranty!

superbuuman

Yeah, Nintendo has stated that it still has much to do with the Wii U regarding the bugs and improvements to the OS.

So US are the test subjects..hehehe :P

You could say that :P

Also, I noticed on Miiverse that there is now a Hulu Plus community :o

*Edit* Yep, Hulu Plus is now ready for use for the Wii U, Im "updating" it right now on my Wii U. Not that Im going to use it, Netflix has me covered :P

The way that you download Hulu Plus is by going to the Hulu Plus icon on the Wii U's apps menu and simply starting it. It will update from there.

*Edit again* Its done downloading and installing, took about 10 minutes in total to do both (personally I think it took less time than that but I wasnt really paying attention).

[QUOTE="AutoPilotOn"]Some people can really draw well with gamepad. I can barely make a stick figure ekalbtwin

I know right? Someone in the Netflix community drew Hank from King of the Hill. They did a pretty good job too.

I got a kick out of that when I saw him.

You saw the drawing I was talking about? Ha thats epic!
