I actually think that this format war may last longer than others, or may end up yielding no true winner. The move from VHS to DVD was kind of a natural one, as VHS was pretty messed up and DVDs are easy to use. Blu-Ray and HD-DVD aren't natural improvements, they're a visual improvement upon a technology that has- in the grand scheme of things- just recently been accepted by the masses. And from the sounds of things, not a lot of people who aren't gamers or geeks in some way are rather uninformed or indifferent towards both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray.

I will say, however, that even if there isn't a "winner" per se, I'd be surprised if Blu-Ray doesn't turn out to be more successful than HD-DVD, and the PS3 is a major factor in that. Though I do have a lot of difficulty choosing between watching Blu-Ray Casino Royale or playing Resistance...

I actually just bought the game recently, and I'm really enjoying myself. And since you can get it for cheap now, it's not totally outrageous to say that the opening CG justifies the game's price.

Honestly? If you're ignorant enough to not think that your parents will be offended by a piercing and immature enough to not be prepared to face the consequences, I think that whatever punishment/lecture you're about to get is both called for and necessary to stop you from ever doing something like this again.

The first three Monkey Island games, and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Yeah, I really have a soft spot for the ol' Scumm games.

You're a hero to us all, Sentinel. I'd say it's only a matter of time until your unbelievably slick vision comes true.

[QUOTE="MC_RaZaR"]Aeris's voice was the only one that sounded arkward to me.kingdom09

And the voice to lip movements was very horrible worng at alot of times.

Dude, if you're not used to the lip-synching in Japanese animations by now, you weren't fully prepared for Advent Children.

Yeah, it was the same actress from Kingdom Hearts 2, and she was even worse there. On the other side of things, Tifa's actress was perfect. At least one female character was done justice.

Seriously, doing Sephiroth vs. anyone and asking a FINAL FANTASY UNION who the winner will be will always result in Sephiroth winning. Stick to FF characters, or else the entire point of the union is kind of lessened. Of course, Sephiroth will always win because Sephiroth always wins. Unless he's fighting Cloud, who could beat anyone

Well you see, I figured many of you would actually dare to have a mind, but I guess not. And how is the union's point "lessened" if I pit two characters from different series together to fight? It's not drawing any attention away from Final Fantasy, and it still has to do with Final Fantasy, not to mention one of it's most precious characters. And if this one really goes that bad, then I suppose my only other option really is to stick to Final Fantasy characters, but I'd expect higher from all of you, but maybe my expectations were a little to high, who knows.

Wow, you took this personal quickly. Sorry, man, I didn't know this was so important.

[QUOTE="GFreeman1998"]Well, X-2 appeared to exist solely for resolving FFX's majorly-sad ending, which it did well. I personally thought the game was good fun, and after two games I feel I'm too connected to the characters to honestly say no. So, in my opinion, it would be cool if Square-Enix (wow, I usually just say "Squenix"... what happened?) made a whole spin-off series based around Spira. But, hey, that's just me.jordina

thats too much.

just ffx-3 will do.

lol No! I demand a new series!
