[QUOTE="YoshiYogurt"]Was coming in for a good thread about ps3 exclsuives and all get are a bunch of multiplats. God of War 3 is coming with my ps3 so this thread is useless. Just as bad as the lems... come on....

Nobody cares. I never claimed it was a 'just PS3 exclusives only" thread. Get your facts right.

True Lies for the Genesis. Yea the Arnold Swartzenegger movie. The game was awesome. Dino Crysis (I loved them but they were violent and retarded).

MonkeySpot

What was 'retarded' about "Dino"?

:?

My bad meant no offense I just thought they were very cheesy and obviously back then voice acting was pretty bad.

I know I'm probably jumping the gun here as there are plenty of potentially amazing games coming out towards the end of this generations consoles..... but I figure hey why not. I haven't been on the forums in a while and I'm sure it's been done 80 million times already too. Feel free to criticize or applaud or even tell me yours. Trust me I know my opinions wont be popular. I'm also sure The Last of Us will end up being in my list eventually.

It's Naughty Dog thats all I can say. I'm only putting games down that I have played and finished. I have many games I haven't even touched yet that are just sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I will get to them eventually. Anyway here we go.

1. God of War 3

I loved this game. I thought the story was great. Every Single boss fight was epic. The game play was amazing. This was a really well polished game and the graphics were amazing. Still are.

2. Dead Space

This game and I mean the OG version scared the crap out of me. I remember the tight corridors and the atmosphere of the game in itself was just crazy. I jumped at every turn and it felt good to play an actual horror game. Too bad EA is deciding to destroy the Franchise slowly by making it CO-OP and more action oriented. You should of listened to the fans when we were all worried it was turning more and more in the direction of the doomed Resident Evil franchise. Good Job.

3. Red Dead Redemption

I had so much fun in this amazing world. Usually I find anything western kinda boring. The idea of it is awesome but anything I have watched or seen doesn't do it justice for me. Untill you put something in Rockstars hands and bam one of the best friggin games ever. The story was amazing including the ending and the game play was so good.

4. Metal Gear Solid 4

I know most people hate seeing this game on top tens. I love Metal Gear though. It's my favorite franchise of all time and even though it was heavy on cinematics and light on the game play, I still enjoyed it none the less. People who loved Snatcher and Policenauts would agree.

5. Dishonored

This game is one of the best original first person IP's I have played in a long time. If developers are going to over saturate the market with FPS's, then at least make an original one. The game play in this game is amazing. The story isn't anything special but the characters and environments and game play make up for it.

6. Batman Arkham Asylum

I loved Arkham City but having said that I thought the original was better. Even the ending that everyone complains about in my opinion wasn't that bad to be honest especially when it basically sets up the beginning of the second one. This should be a game that I have played several times already but sadly I have only played it once. I do plan on playing it again especially before origins comes out.

I loved this game because of the atmosphere of the Asylum. The villians and the story were amazing. I loved the Metroidvania style game play which was kinda missing in the second. I don't know it's just a better game in my opinion. Doesn't mean the second sucks at all by any means but I don't think they captured the magic quite like first one did. Also the story in the second was way too short in my opinion.

7. Uncharted 3

It might not be better then Uncharted 2 to some people but I think so. I think the story is better and the action is bigger. Everything is refined. It might not have changed much but that doesn't mean it should be berated because it didn't make a huge leap like Uncharted 2 did from Uncharted 1. It did it just as good if not a tad bit better in my opinion.

8. Far Cry 3

I debated on if this should be higher up my list which it probably should. I have seen a lot of things on the internet where they didn't think the story was that great untill 3/4 of the game in. I disagree I think from beginning to end the story has been amazing. I just finished it and yea it had some cheesy parts and there isn't enough backstory on his friends to give two craps about them but it was still an engaging game none the less.

9. Mortal Kombat

This game had so much nostalgic value for me it's not even funny. I played the crap out of MKII when I was a kid and this game reminded me a lot of MKII. The campaign on this game was great and gave me hope for future fighting games to actually have a decent story mode. It really set the bar for story telling in a fighting game. I'm disappointed with the online fiasco but hopefully the next game they don't make the same mistakes.

10. Deus Ex

Never played the ones before this so I didn't know what I was getting into. All I know is Me and Cyber-Punk games...oh yea. This game was great. I felt like I was playing Shenmue a lil bit as far as the way the areas were set up. I don't know its weird to explain. I do know I will go back eventually and replay this amazing game.

Honorable mentions:

Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition

Portal 2

Skyrim

Sleeping Dogs

Assasin's Creed 3

Twisted Metal

BioShock (the OG)

BioShock Infinite

Sonic Generations

Assassin's Creed II - I didn't like Ezio as a character.

GTA IV - I didn't like Niko and it was too realistic and not over the top like previous GTA games.

The reason Uncharted 2 is so highly praised by critics is because Naughty Dog raised a lot of bars with their technology in the game. Things that were never done yet or are still hard to do to this day was pulled off to near perfection. The story/plot might not bethe franchisesstrong suite and thats fine. Naughty Dog never claimed to have an original story. Its everything else in the game that grips people. From the cinematic over the topinteractive sequences. To the beautifully crafted worldand the characters.

To the graphics and gameplay. The game has a little bit of everything that makes it a truely remarkable game. To some peoplethe gamemight not merit a perfect 10 but to others it might. It all depends on what your taste in games is and obviously your tasteisn't into cinematic action/adventure games. Thats fine but this is a forum. Not a place for reviews.....thats under your profile where this should have went. I to have many issues with the game but not enough to dampen my experience playing it. I definitelylike the overall story of the first one more.

I just finished the 3rd one a couple of hours ago and I have to say they definately outshined the 2nd one with everything. Critics are saying not much has changed and thats why it doesn't deserve as high a score. I think thats a little unfair and thats why I don't really take much of what critics say into account. Gamespot has been getting to cocky of late and they are giving out horrible reviews.

[QUOTE="Foulcry"] If you say so. It looks like the same game to me. Let me fill you in on something though just because a game has rpg elements and more melee then shooting doesn't mean its nothing remotely close to L4D. You make it sound like both games are so uncomparable that they might as well be in two different universes. If you think that then I'm sorry I even responded to you because I'm just wasting my time debating with you. Your too much dial it down a peg or two next time buddy. MC-Reap
Lol, yes you are wasting your time with me. I do believe the two games might as well be in two different universes. The other posts I made to you were made with little to no sleep so I apologize for those. Honestly I hope someone makes a good, similar to L4D zombie game you can enjoy. Everyone deserves a zombie game that they can love.

I didn't like L4D either lol

[QUOTE="Foulcry"][QUOTE="MC-Reap"] LOL. Trust me no one was thinking it was supposed to be like L4D. That's like saying people are expecting Dark Souls to be like GTA. MC-Reap

your kidding right? Do you even know what you just said? First of all the game looks a lot like Left 4 Dead. and that comparison you just made.... made no sense what so ever dark souls is in no way shape or form even in the same category as gta. l4D and dead island are and it is pretty much the same game. so again i hope you were just joking but if not then what you said was completely unintelligable. Not saying the game doesn't look good but it does look like a L4D rip off and to be honest i wasn't a fan of l4D so i probably won't like this game either.

haha, okayyyy. The comparison made no sense on purpose, I was making a point. It making no sense was the point. Me comparing Demons souls to GTA is completely ridiculous, which again, was my point, that you guys comparing this game to L4D is ridiculous. So then every zombie game that is an FPS automatically looks and is supposed to be like L4D now? That's what I'm getting at. Here's the logic you all are making: L4D has zombies and co op> Dead Island has zombies and co op> Therefore, Dead Island is L4D. That's incorrect logic. Anyone that was tracking this game and knew anything about it knew it was an RPG. The fact that this game is an RPG automatically makes it nothing like L4D.

You said L4D and Dead Island are pretty much the same game. I don't need to go any further then because I can just stop there. You haven't played Dead Island, I have. L4D includes guns and LOTS of zombies. When I played L4D, going through a whole level later in the game saw me killing 1,000 zombies. I've been playing dead Island for several several hours and haven't come close to killing that many zombies, and this many hours into it, I just now got a gun which only had 50 bullets and that was it. All my other kills have been melee kills..

**Edited for sake of trying not to sound like I'm yelling.

Well i have a lot. i'll tell you why.

NES- it was my first console and the first time i ever played a video game.

Sega Saturn - It was the first console I ever bought with my own money (communion money)

N64 - This was the game system i spent the most time on playing with friends on splitscreen and co-op.

Dreamcast - thefirst time an actual console impressed me graphically plus it had one of the greatest games of all time on it which was shenmue.
