Everything here is so bare bones, but the game still has serious draw and I can't put it down. The fighting is so much better. I remember trying to learn one frame links in IV and just giving it up in favor of easy hit confirm/target combos and strong fundamental play. In V, that junk is gone and now I'm throwing out 12 hitters with relative ease. No arcade mode though? C'mon capcom...you could have just changed that garbage story mode into arcade mode and shown your "story powerpoints" after every couple fights. From what I hear, they are "considering the addition of an arcade mode."
@xwinson: well i just picked it to play taken king because it looked fun and I got the ultra edition for 35 bucks. I started with taken king stuff and I'm at the 30 hour mark or so still having fun. Story was just one of my gripes with MGSV. Taken King's isn't great, but I am interested to see how things play out. Listening to tapes about the "burgers of kazuhira miller" kind of just makes me want to break shit.
@jlenoconel: i would skip it unless you get it on the cheap because it is exactly like that. the only exception is that it takes place in an open world that is a pain in the ass to traverse.
@NunoALC: I see what you're saying, but I only just started playing it, and the difference between the two is that I actually have fun playing destiny. It has a satisfying loop. Call me crazy, but running through Africa to do my 23rd side op at that fucking mansion is straight up offensively copy paste. Only to then realize that I have to do the mission with Codetalker on subsistence mode to get 100% which, again, makes me go to the mansion. Sorry destiny is such a trigger. To me, it's just a fun game that I got for 30 bucks on black friday.
Pretty clear it wasn't rehearsed. Dude said "uuuhm" about 14 times. Metal Gear V was crap imo. Sooo repetitive, bland story, discouraging certain types of play style with penalties, mother base was a pain in the ass, and the list goes on. but hey, I've still got taken king, witcher, and mortal kombat.
