The gameplay from the first 2 was nearly flawless. Some of the best action games I've ever played. As long as the new studio can continue with the great story telling, I'm perfectly fine with it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
@kargion SEC is 9-1 in BCS National Championship games; 42-22 in bowl games(including 32-15 against ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 since 2006), 4 Heisman winners. All of this in the BCS era. Don't even get me started on how the SEC has dominated the draft the last few years, and the cupcake OOC schedule argument is lame too. Why don't you all go check the OOC of every pre-season top 25 school. That argument completely debunks itself, because every single school in the major conferences schedules cupcakes. So no, it's not an opinion, it is 100% a fact.
@derceto @FadeToBlack90 @amdreallyfast Now I could be wrong, but didn't something come out that said, as long as the same gamer profile is on the console, you would be able to play it on any number of consoles you want? Or have they officially come out and said 1 disc/license = 1 console?
@derceto @amdreallyfast @FadeToBlack90 Remove the always connected Kinect. How does that change both of your opinions? Outside of DRM (I haven't bought a used game in probably 5 years anyway) that was the only real flag with me.
@derceto @FadeToBlack90 I don't know, most of the things that people are having issues with, just don't strike me the same way. PC gamers have had to deal with many of the same issues for easily half a decade now. Maybe it gets off set a little bit by the fact that Steam is such a nice platform, and the holiday/summer sales can help make up for the lack of game trading. In reality though, a lot of these issues are things that are going to become more prevalent in the industry, MS just happened to be the first of the 'big 3' to announce it as a standard for the console market. It's all going to come down to how this Xbox performs in the market. If it still sells well, which it probably will, the next round of consoles will all probably feature similar 'features' At the end of the day, to me, it still comes down to the games themselves, and we just haven't seen enough to make a fair assessment one way or the other.
People complained about the Sony presser because they didn't show hardware. People complained about the Xbox presser because of lack of gameplay and DRM/Always on(Have you played games on the PC the last 5-6 years? Guess what? You'll learn to deal with it too...or you can stop playing. Vote with your wallet if you really want to.). The public will find a way to complain about everything given the chance. You know what? People complained the last time this happened as well, and both consoles ended up being great with really good games. I'm refraining from making any judgement on either console until after E3. That is where we are going to see the bulk of what to expect from each console game wise. If people have concerns after E3 or questions un-answered, then they may be legitimate...maybe...
@Toplinkar I'm with you. It's all personal opinion and what feels most comfortable to you. Me personally, I like the Xbox gamepad substantially more, but if you're used to the dualshocks, then the Xbox pad probably feels equally as awkward.
@Sardinar Yes there is, at least as far as my interest is concerned. The Portal games are great. L4D series is super awesome with friends. But they still aren't HL It's been what, 5.5 years since episode 2 was released? If/when HL3 releases, it better be the pinnacle of my gaming life for how long they have made us wait.
