I think you should do your research next time before examining a new mode, especially for a game as complex as Street Fighter. There are change lists online you can look at the very least. Omega is different but still supposed to be sensible compared to a total chaos mode.

To be perfectly honest it's not a mode targeted for newcomers or casual players. To an "untrained" eye changes are not apparent, but Omega is very different for current player base. It's actually a completely different game. Some say this is actually a research by Capcom for Street Fighter 5.

@trbo16gst You clearly don't understand fighting games and probably have no idea that SF4 is one of the most respected games in FGC due to its updates and DLC system. Capcom only worked for player's needs in SF4's life span, yes they made some mistakes, but overall SF4 was a huge success for both players and Capcom.

This games is NOT for casual players. You have to accept that. Capcom will do a lot of things to attract newcomers none-the-less and that's understandable, but SF games were always hardcore games at heart and they always going to be. In this trailer alone there are dozens of things to discuss for SF players, new gameplay elements and styles etc. Fighting games like SF constantly evolve and they frequently require balance changes through player feedback. There are thousands over thousand variables in place in Street Fighter 4, thus it's almost impossible to reach a perfect balance, but I can safely say USF4 is the most balanced fighting game out there even though it has over 40 different characters.

So save yourself the embarrassment and don't go accusing anyone of anything.

A side note: SF4 only had two payed updates in 5 years which cost $45 in total, so I have no idea where did you get that "hundreds of dollars" idea from. Other updates were all free and had real content. You might have been thinking of Sims.

@brockelley Stating the facts is different from liking/disliking them. What you are describing is not a review, it's a feature/bug list.

Example:

"The Unfinished Swan uses artistic black & white visuals that improve the atmosphere of the game. There are some bugs, but they don't get in the way."

or

"The Unfinished Swan uses artistic black & white visuals that ruin the atmosphere of the game. There are some bugs that are hard to ignore which makes things even worse."

Which one is wrong?

You can't review a game objectively while the readers are not objective themselves. One likes the game for one reason and another hates it for the same. In that case either you need to just say "it's a game and here is a bug list" in your review to be completely right and worth nothing, or you go explain how the game works for you, how it makes you feel, how it resonates with you and consequentially give your readers some real insight about the game.
