@lonesamurai1: No, actually realism has nothing to do with resources. If you plan well and polish the game you can make a photo-realistic game even on PlayStation 1. You have a really warped idea of how computer graphics work.
MGS4 is a realistic game and works great both on PS4 and PC. But Tetris game on PS4 runs like shit. Saints Row 2 which looks like a joke, runs worse than The Witcher 3 on PC.
@lonesamurai1: That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works. Cartoon look can be more resource intensive than photo-realistic. Personally I'd hate a realistic looking SF because it'd only look like Tekken or Virtua Fighter. Look at the image, that looks more like Jin Kazuya than Ryu. No thanks.
@Mogan: It won't be the Star Citizen people are throwing money away for. At some point most donors will see their mistake and there will be a huge uproar. It's like paying for a space trip and getting a NASA tour.
100 Million $ worth of free money. Why stop? Promise anything you want and release the worst game ever made. There is nothing anythone can do if they like wasting their money.
Then everyone is surprised when publishers butcher games and sell them part by part. As long as idiots buy them, why stop?
I can't help but wonder, why Dark Souls is the first game to get this treatment? Why no Call of Duty game was asked is "magic fading"? Why Assassin's Creed is always fresh, gets 8's and 9's, but Dark Souls is repeating itself?
You really like annoying people, don't you? This is nothing more than cheap click bait.
Next thing you know, Gamespot will start posting articles like "10 amazing facts you can't miss about Call of Duty guns".
