Again with the people saying that Sony won't do BC because greed. Remember the last time they tried it? The $600 PS3? And how bad it had its lunch eaten by the 360 for years before finally catching up and almost killed Playstation?

THAT is why you can't play PS3 or PS2 on PS5. They'd have to build a PS3 inside the PS5 much like the original PS3s had PS2 hardware built into them. Otherwise, you have to use emulation. Even PS2 emulation is a pain in the hind end. I'm running a 3 year old rig with a Ryzen 5 and a 1050ti. There are still PS2 games I can't play because it would require way more effort to get them to run properly than I care to put in. Top of my head, ZoE 2nd Runner runs like dogs*** no matter what I do.

Sony shot themselves in the foot with PS2 and PS3. Both have obtuse hardware/software integration that makes them a pain to emulate. Said obtuse-ness allowed them to pull some pretty amazing stuff for the hardware, but it makes emulation for cheap near impossible.

I have no faith in Bioware after Andromeda and Anthem. Plus I have even less faith in EA. DA:I was good, though.

@bdrtfm: We already know white isn't the only color it'll come in. I think someone asked Sony that not too long after the reveal and there is at the very least a black shelled version. Also if the past is a trend, you're waiting 3 years for the "slim" edition.

@Ultramarinus: Last I checked, there isn't a law on the books that says a retailer or business owner can't tell you to GTFO if you do something they don't like.

Some TOS agreements came under fire because they broke laws. Apple wanting greater control and more of the profit ON THEIR OWN PLATFORM is not against the law. That's the part people seem to be glossing over. They call Apples stranglehold on the iOS marketplace a monopoly, but is it really? Apple literally owns the marketplace on iOS. To call it a monopoly requires changing the definition of a monopoly.

Put it this way. If Apple is a monopoly for enforcing the rules on their own marketplace, then Walmart is a monopoly because you can't sell items in Walmart without Walmarts approval.

@alastor529: Or maybe the other way around. Don't forget, Mike and Bryan helmed Legend of Korra. Final season they made Korra bi/lesbian in the most token way possible: by not revealing it until the last five minutes of the show.

But...the haikus DO by and large make sense for the given theme of each one. Lots of symbolism and metaphor. Like say it gives you "Reflect on Going Against Tradition". You make a haiku that reads:

The steadfast mountain.

A cold stream ever flowing

The mountain relents.

That's not unrelated nonsense gibberish. It's metaphor. Tradition a massive monolith of a mountain. But even the most steadfast of traditions will eventually fall as times change, new traditions are adopted, and old traditions are forgotten. Much like a river cleaving a mountain in two.

@mogan: I dug through the first five pages. Lots of 4s, 5s, and 6s once you ignore the 0s and 10s. General consensus amongst those 4s/5s/6s is that the world is gorgeous and the gameplay is decent, but the story and narrative are hot garbage.

@mogan: Here's my metric for Metacritic. Take a game, look at user scores. Ignore all the 10s, 0s, and 1s. Those are either blind fanbois, blind haters, or people spamming 10s just to counter the 0s. What's left is a much better understanding of how the general public is reacting to a game.

For TLoU2, it's not looking good. A lot of people dropping the game before they even finish it. Biggest complaints being that the game is relentlessly grim to the point of being misery porn and that there are a mountain of plotholes that harm the games plot.

@javalino: If EA still publishes it? Maybe on PC. Otherwise no. On consoles it suffers the same problem that Skyrim SE does. It's near impossible to prove original ownership of a disc. Due to the way Live and PSN are set up, verifying digital purchases of the original and distributing digital copies of the remaster wouldn't worth it.
