@rohanrocks88: Not just bringing it up to par with PC. PC doesn't have ray-tracing, and other assets will be upgraded as well. Not sure how they'll actually compare, as even the dated PC version puts my 3080 to work at max detail settings (the grass settings and distance scaling are especially expensive). Hopefully the changes are smart and result in an overall image that's better than what PC currently has available, as I'm personally waiting for the PC upgrades. HDR alone will be really nice, as the colours in the game would definitely benefit from it.

@clay544888123: You're the first person I've heard who actually dislikes performance RT modes. They've been the preferred options for pretty much everyone else in Insomniac games.

@rmulatz: And it's fair to wait, just like it's fair to wait six or seven years until a TV series finishes rather than watching each season as it's released and waiting for the next seasons to air. I think the reason I personally don't tend to wait for video games is because after those six or seven years the original might not seem as new and exciting as it did upon release due to graphics and gameplay in general evolving significantly across the industry during that time.

I want to say it's ridiculous to wait 3+ years between episodes, but I'll save my judgment and assume that the second episode is going to be grand enough in scale that the time spent on development will make sense once we see it.

Nintendo once again shows that they could not care less about their customers. You'd think they'd do the bare minimum and offer these 25-30 year old games for free with the standard online membership, but no. Well, at least there are always emulators that'll give you a far better selection than Nintendo will ever offer.

You can always depend on the Gamespot comment threads to be filled with whiny, outraged teenagers who can't handle reviewers or game developers having opinions. They scream "keep politics out of my games!" and then go right back to playing all of their standard political games (like most games out there) that don't offend their sensibilities. There have always been politics in games, and if a game potentially being anti-fascist is where you draw the line, you might just be a bit of a sociopath.

@rileyrg: God, why are people like you such outraged babies whenever games come along that challenge your politics? Grow a pair.

@senzuripowerup: Hilarious. Enjoy your outrage and fake sense of victimization. The rest of society will just laugh at you, no matter how loud you scream. You can see what way the wind is blowing when even large corporations are deciding it's a profitable decision to support social justice and inclusion. You can scream into your keyboard with the rest of the internet outrage warriors as long as you want though. Just don't give yourself a hernia.

@sbargovox3:

Absolutely. It's amazing how soft and fragile the sensibilities of so many gamers are that they can't handle inclusion in their video games. It's like 70-year old boomers inhabiting the bodies of greasy teenagers and 20-somethings. It's both sad and hilarious to watch them get so offended whenever these things happen, but they'd better get used to it.
