Many of the people on Gamespot are nowhere near as mentally sophisticated as Trey Parker and Matt Stone, so they probably wouldn't even be capable of understanding the nuances in the episode. You can use epsxe to make the original PS1 game look better than this. They're basically taking the work the emulation creators did a decade ago and packaging it as if they did it all themselves. What a disrespectful cash grab.
