@JimmeyBurrows As much as I like my PC (and I do) it will never take the lead in sales lol It's getting bigger every year because of stuff like steam and the aging console hardware but the expensive initial investment will always leave PC dead last in sales numbers.

@decoy1978 Yup nintendo has actually floundered since the release of the wii. Gross income down over 80% since 2009, sales/revenue down 65% since 2009, Also their stock price has gone down roughly 80% since 2007...ouch. The Wii U has to be big and stay big or nintendo is going to be in some trouble.

@Dasim64 @jasongm @SirenAries Also the gimmick isn't "innovative" it's just the DS's gimmick put on a home console lol. It's a proven one but it's all it really is. I personally like this gimmick more then motion control.

@SauhlGood @jasongm Steam IS DRM. Nothing on steam is DRM free. It's just DRM that offers great value and convenient services.

@thereal-15-cent @Ghetto_ninja Ya but dishonored also had betheda's name stamped all over it (I know they only published it) and heavily shown in every add. It's only been a year since the MASSIVE success of skyrim. So dishonored may have been new but the people behind it have massive name recognition. Honestly anything with a bethesda stamp regardless of quality would probably fly off the shelves right now. So it's not like dishonored had no advantage over other new IP's and just came out of nowhere.007 just had the bond name and nothing else and that means little to gamers when the last BIG bond title was goldeneye.

Sigh if a game is ancient then there is no reason it can't be 99 cents. I mean how many times do these people want us to pay for the same thing? I think I've bought mario 3 about 6 times over the years, I'm sick of it. Sorry Nintendo I'll be emulating anything I know I owned at one point.

@shadowhunter0 @Getbacktogaming Damn your NES JUST stopped working. lol consider yourself lucky I went through literally a dozen of those things back in the day. Thankfully a local place would take any broken NES and trade you for a working one for 5 bucks.

@nate1222 @davedrastic Well it's a long way off. While PC games are selling more, because of quality services like steam, they are still dead last in sales for every single multi-plat release. Sure over time games like Skyrim end up catching up because of mod support but that takes much longer to happen and we all know these companies don't give two craps about a game selling well long term. Until PC's can match console sales in the first month, for multi-plat releases, publishers and developers will continue to focus where the money is and PC's will continue to get half a**ed ports. Although this year has been good in terms of ports (Dark souls being the one major exception). Also gaming quality PC's cost is a major factor. You can build an OK gaming PC for about 500 bucks but that's still only going to get you marginally better graphical fidelity then a console for that price. If you want truly "next gen" graphics on a PC you really need to sink 900-1200 bucks into it right now (talking decent I5 based machine with 660ti or higher in it) which just isn't possible for most people. At least if gaming is only one of many forms of entertainment people tend to enjoy and spend money on.

Problem I have with windows 8 is that it has no chance in the places it's primarily designed for. Cell phones? LOL ya right windows nice joke...oh you were serious about actually trying to shave market share off apple/android phones. Tablets? Well I mean you have a shot of splitting the bottom with android but you actually think you are going to come anywhere near the IPAD? LOL The people the OS was least optimized for (desktop/laptop) are the ones going to be stuck with this this thing long after the windows phones/tablets crash and burn.

I mean windows 8 isn't Windows ME bad or anything but it's just a very fragmented awkward OS that feels like you are running two different operating systems on top of each other (traditional windows and the "not" metro) that have very tenuous connections with each other. In some instances the two feel completely disconnected from each other like opening a browser inside the traditional windows environment is completely different then opening the browser in "not" metro. It just feels clunky to me and less intuitive to those already who are intimately familiar with how windows normally worked in the past. It just feels like change for the sake of change with no real purpose in mind other then to try and break windows into the cell phone/tablet market they have no hope in breaking into.
